I ask because I've started posting some Tom Clancy books.  I know there are thousands of them floating around, so I wonder if it's even worth the trouble.  If there are already 500 copies posted for example, and mine won't come up in the queue until the 501st request, it may be years before it's requested and I really don't want to hang on to it for that long.  It seems like the data should be somewhere, I just don't know if it's displayed anywhere.

thanks,

Just add the book to your Reminder List to see how many copies are in the system.

What you may want to do is post them, add them to your Reminder List, then check back a few times over a month or so and see how the numbers change.  This is not a perfect solution to knowing when your book will be getting near the head of the queue, but it will give you an indication of how fast or slow these books are requested.

Remember, people can "pick more" from your shelf when they select one so it's possible that your high supply books could get requested anyway.  I just had a book with 100's in the system get requested which really surprised me!

I would still post it, because as was previously stated folks my order a book from you and then look at your shelf and select additional books.  The other thing to do is to put together a deal with the books and offer it in the Bazaar.  Clancy is the type of author that people may want to get a series started or filled and a good deal on the books might be just the incentive they need.

Thanks for the help.  I've never used the Reminder list before, but that has the answer I need.
