I have some very common books, mainly Oprah's book club items, and wondered if there is any way to tell how many of the same item are listed when I do a search on it. If there are thousands, I'd just as soon donate it to my library. Any input is appreciated. |

If you put the book on your reminder list, it will display the number of copies currently available in the system. This isn't always the best way to judge how long it would take for someone to request it, though. It may be a book that is frequently requested, or someone may request it directly from your bookshelf. |

You could try offering a deal on them. They still get ordered but a lot of people (like me) wait until they can get them in a deal or a BOB trade. Adding another book or 2 doesn't usually make the postage go up much and use the credit you earn to order books on a deal from someone else. |

I have found that the FIFO moves faster than you might think for some books. Also, sometimes members will order more from your shelf besides what they originally requested via FIFO. All depends on your level of patience (and space!) LOL Last Edited on: 7/4/08 9:18 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
