I read a lot of mysteries, so I am always glad when a mystery is a little different. I enjoyed this book. I thought the ending twist was a little predictable, but all in all , it was an interesting change. More hard-boiled, than cozy.

this is one of the strangest books I have ever read. I entertained my teenagers by giving them updates of what was happening.......ok, now he is in a deluge of fish raining down from the sky..............ok now he is following an ugly survivalist to a stripper bar.........mystical, oddball, odd puns, odd experiences, doesn't seem like the events of a private eye book. I almost quit a few times. While I am glad I finished the book and the author did tie up almost all loose ends, I don't think I'll read all of his others!
