Excellent book that gives you a wealth of information in relatively few pages, written by a woman who really knows what she's talking about, as she was born in Chinchero, one of the Cusco-area weaving villages. The text is very clear and the photos are beautiful, illustrating the weavers and details of their weaving. The place of weaving in the area's culture is also discussed, as well as complex patterns formed by combining or multiplying simple ones. I wish I'd had this book years ago.
