The Wedding Journey is the first book in the Irish Brides trilogy, written by three Love Inspired Historical authors. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the Murphy sisters: Maeve, Bridget, and Nora. The Wedding Journey focuses on Maeve's romance with Flynn. Maeve's healing skills come in handy when she helps an injured boy and Flynn, the ship's doctor, offers her a position as his medical assistant. The story had great pacing, and I loved reading about the perils and joys of an Atlantic crossing on a small immigrant ship. I do wonder, however, if the class boundaries among the various passengers were so easily overcome as this story portrayed. Looking forward to reading the next book in the trilogy, to see how Bridget and Nora fare, and learning more about the inheritance left to the girls' mother!
