I bought this book after I decided to have surgery to help myself better understand what I was getting myself into, and now I am 4 weeks post-op (RNY). This book was (and continues to be) been my go-to reference for just about everything. From preparing yourself for surgery to what to expect in the hospital, from the crazy mix of emotions you go through when you return home to post-op recipes, from how to deal with friends/family/coworkers to how to deal with yourself months down the road, this book has it all. It's an invaluable wealth of information, well laid out and easy to read and understand. This book is a must-have for anyone who is considering having, going to have, or recently had weight loss surgery of any kind. You'll go back to it again and again with questions about what to expect or what you experienced, and you will find the answers!
