I wonder what browser would think of the poster on my bookshelf? It is a mixture of gory and classical, spiced with a few innocent children's books! Would I be classified as a Henry James lover who dabbles in a study of the bloodier true crimes in English history and reads Michael Gilbert mysteries for relaxation? With a side trip to Peter Rabbit territory?
Actualy, the lesser known Henry James novels are my husband's. The 19th and early 20th century crime studies are mine, as are the Golden Age Gilbert mysteries. I don't even remember where Peter fits into the picture! So, if you know a James-loving-true crime-afficiando-with Golden Age likes-and Rabbit tastes, please send them to look at my bookshelf.

Hi Elaine. I inherited a lot of books on the subject of health/healing and nutrition from my mother, and I always wonder what people think when they browse my shelf. Also, I post books that friends/family no longer want, that I wouldn't even think of reading myself. And I think a lot of people do the same, so we really shouldn't "read" too much into the content of a person's shelf, though we're human beings, and our litlle brains do like to "fill in the blanks." |
