I just sent the following message to someone at Live Help, but thought maybe someone here could answer more quickly?

I just ordered a 1977 copy of "Fellowship of the Ring" and when I hold my cursor over the (!) it says, "sender has until 11 PM ET 12-31-1969 to mark book mailed to you". 1969? Will this effect anything adversely? I kind of want this older version, but don't want to have a problem because of some system glitch. Should I cancel and order another version? (I already tried cancelling and reordering the same version, but it didn't help.)

Any ideas? =0/

Well, apparently that sender is very late getting that book out to you. They should have marked it mailed to you 8 years before it was ever printed:P

Its obviously a glitch in the new function and I am sure they will get it straightened out. The LH person should either recommend you let the Team know through feedback or do it his/herself.

I do want to warn you that just because the date on the system says it was printed in 1977 doesn't necessarily mean that the copy you get will be printed then. Re-issues and re-prints often reuse the ISBNs of the original issues and since pub dates are NOT one of the criteria that has to match, you could end up with a current printing of that ISBN. You may want to PM the sender to confirm it is the 1977 printing.
