I have a book showing on my account in wish list hold. I've had the book posted for months and it's not the only available copy, so how could it suddenly have gone into wish list hold?

It may be the only book with that particular ISBN?

No, b/c when I click on it, the order this book button is available. Plus, even if it were the only copy, it should have been requested, not gone into wish list hold.

Maybe someone had it on their WL on hold and just now took it off hold and your's was the first in line for  it?

I don't know if it ever works out like that because the one time I took a WL book off hold that had copies in the system it wouldn't automatically order it for me. I had to delete it from my WL and go to the book's page and click "Order this book."

Maybe it worked for your book though!

Well it could be that their account was on vacation. But when I moved a couple of years ago and went on hold for like 4 straight months, the books from my WL that became available in the system were moved to my Reminder List.  There were 3 that went from WL to having several copies posted in that time.

But recently I marked a book RWP. There were several copies in the system when I ordered it adn it arrived quickly.  It immediately gave me a WL offer for that book. I though maybe it had gone WL while mine was in transit. But when I put it on my RL there were still several copies.  So maybe that's waht happened int his situation. I'm sure the sender was wondering why this book was suddenly on WL hold for me.

I just joined and got a message from someone that they wanted a book not on my list and then had a list of rules they thought I might not be aware of such no highlighting etc.  I felt uncomfortable like someone was suddenly stalking me and my books.  I only listed 20 books and it was definately a more esoteric book titlte.  Is this common or unusual?
