However, Ukrainians became dependent on TV news when soaring inflation made newspapers too expensive for most citizens, not because television became available only in the 1990s as is stated in the photo caption. Nonetheless, this attractive book does not overwhelm readers with too many details, and the photographs should help to engage even unskilled readers.« less
