Argh . . . I hate when I just can't get into one of my fav author's books . . . trying to tough it out in hopes that it's just a slow starter . . . I'm feeling nothing notable about Miss Fairbourne or the Earl of Southwaite.

Someone please tell me it gets better . . . PLEASE!

Hope everyone is enjoying their own read today . . . cuz I'm not . . .poo!

Haven't read it yet - but I felt the same way about the 1st Rarest Bloom Novel (Ravishing in Red) - hopefully this one too will prove to be a good one!

I won't say that it gets better, because I don't know what your threshold is. I will say for me, the last half of the book was better than the first half. My review is up on Goodreads. MH can be a hit or miss author me anyway, but I have read everything that she has wrote. I do intend to read the next book in the series, because I want to get to Gavin's book. I can't wait to see him taken down a peg or two by a certain French lady. Hopefully, MH will let Cassandra continue to be bad, because I think that is exactly what Yates needs. He needs to be shook up. We will have to see. All that being said...don't give up...keep reading. Although i would like to hear your thoughts on some of the finals scenes of the book...I thought they were odd.
