What is proper etiquette here when 2 people have requested the same book the same day? That's happened to me now. I have two people wanting the same book. How do I decide who to give it to? Thanks, Jen |

The system only allows one request. It's taken off of your shelf as soon as someone requests it, so it shouldn't be available for a second request. If you got a second request, you may check whether you have it posted in both hardback and paperback. |

And once you've checked to make sure that you don't have two different books as Sharon said, do drop a feedback line to R&R about it using the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page. I've heard that sometimes there's a glitch and books aren't removed from a member's shelf even though they've been requested. But to answer your question, I would look at the time of each request, and cancel the second and let it roll to the next member. |

Are you referring to a BOB request? If that is the case, you just have to choose one - I usually send it to the one who requested first. |

I looked at your bookshelf. Do you have two copies of the DaVinci Code in paperback? |

There must be a glitch in the system as it usually won't allow you to post multiple copies of one book. |

well, yeah if they don't have the same ISBN then the system does not consider them the same book...I was referring to the exact same book (as I believe that was what the discussion thread was about) with the same ISBN. |

Help Center says |

So the help center link tells you how to refuse one. As for which one to refuse, like Amanda said, I've always given fiirst priority to who ever requested it first. Not a terrible problem to have :) Good luck! |
