People have reccomended BOB, but what is it?  Bob Jones? 

I think they mean Bob Books. They come in a set of I think 10 small books.  They are what you would use after starting phonics or just starting to read. Simple pictures with just a few words on each page.   They do get more difficult with each set.

I have a few of one set I was going to look at to tell you more. Not sure what they did with them.  My daughter also likes Biscuit. If you heard of that dog they seem similar to me.

so it's like the I can read books like Biscuit and Eloise and the like then?  I have a few of those, so the basic idea is to get easy to read books to encourage the kids so they want to read even more?

When I first joined PBS, I thought BOB was the husband's name of the first person that I exchanged a Box of Books with.  Then when the second person referred to BOB too, I thought, "So, you're husband's name is Bob too!  That's quite a coincidence!"  So I asked her about it, and she and I had a good email laugh over that whole thing.    BOB is great!  I have gotten a lot of excellent books with a Box of Books!
