I sent out a book and it sat at the Bell, Ca processing center for awhile. I've heard of other people having the same problems with books being processed here. I wonder if the employees are opening up the packages and reading the books, then sending them on to the destination.

It's probably a hub.

It is a processing center with a very large volume of mail going through it. Media Mail will sit if there is "no room" in the trucks so the more other mail, the less likely it will go plus they probably have a pretty high volume of Media Mail too so that will make the problem even worse.

It is also very possible that it wasn't at Belle that long, just didn't get any other scans along the way. It went from one side of the states to the other in that time. Usually when I have stuff sitting in Belle, there are repeated scans EnRoute there so I would almost suspect that it did move on and just didn't get scanned.

It sounds like Federal Way Washington.  I've had a couple of books get caught there.

I have had lots of books move through Bell, CA. It's gotta be a major hub.

That's the same Bell that's been in the news for their overpaid city officials.  You could peek under the prison garb here to see if they've been making off with your books, as well as with their residents' tax money.

I'm in CA, so many of my books get lost in the "black hole" that is Bell postal distribution center.

Well, this book has been having a scenic trip of the US. It has now left NJ and is traveling to MN.
