I know there are a million out there, but which ones stood out to you? I haven't read any romance in a looooong time because they were starting to all get stale (used to love Karen Robards, Anne Stuart, Julia Quinn, etc), and now I want to get back into reading. However, I think now I'd rather read books where romance isn't the sole focus of the book. I'd love some suggestions! :)

IMO, nobody does romantic suspense (military) like Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooters series.

Some others I like are Cherry Adair (T-FLAC series), Pamela Clare (I-Team), Cindy Gerard (LOVE the Bodyguards & Black Ops series), Shannon McKenna (McCloud series is great, but borders on erotica)

I love some of the series that Michelle mentioned. Karen Rose does great romantic suspense, where the romance isn't the primary role. Kylie Brant and a new one for me is Leslie Tentler. Only read the first on in the series, but she has alot of potential. Shiloh Walker and Cynthia Eden as well are up and coming in that genre. Allison Brennan also does alot of suspense with a thread of romance really well.
