I received a book today that has about six pages that the words are so close to the edge that they are cut off,  I know it's from the printer but is there a name for this.

thanks

Misprint or defective, don't know a better word.  I've seen where people return them, but they were the original owners & had sales receipts.  Give it a try tho, good luck!

Here is the term:

Printing Defect - A defect caused by the printing process. Examples would include paper wrinkling, mis-cut edges, mis-folded spine, untrimmed pages, off-registered color, off-centered trimming, mis-folded and mis-bound pages. It should be noted that these are defects that lower the grade of the book. www.teako170.com/terms3.html
