Great book for the emerging reader. Good use of repitition, sight words, basic phonetic words, and pictoral clues. So many "Easy Readers", "Level 1" books, etc... have really hard words that an emerging reader will get frustrated by (eg Fancy Nancy books in particular frustrated my daughter in her early reading days). My daughter started to read this to me mid way through Kindergarten. It has a funny story too. I have grabbed a few others by the same author to see if we'll have same success.
