I have been trying my hardest lately to make my life a little easier... one of these is only going to the post office once a week on Friday. Today I got a request for a book but I fear if I accept and mark "mail later" that Friday's date won't show. So what day of the week does Friday's date show on the "mail later" button? Is it rude to wait til that pop ups?

I think what you need to do it wait a few days to even accept the request...until it's closer to friday.  You get 5 days to accept at first.  Then you can pick the date.  I don't know exactly how many days out it goes that you can choose as the "send" by" date.

I believe it will show up tomorrow.  I accepted a request this morning, and clicked the "Mail Later" button, and Thursday was the last day to show up.  So I would guess that Friday would start showing up on Sunday. And no, it i not rude to do that.  I have done that myself if I know it's going to be 4 or 5 days before I will be able to get to the post office.

I have to play this waiting game to accept a request, too, as I can only get to the post office on Saturdays. I always keep my fingers crossed that I won't get any requests on Saturday or Sunday, and that built-in time buffer is a real bonus.

I do that sometimes, too.  Just wait until it pops up.  I'm just so glad PBS makes it possible to work around my schedule!

Thank you for letting me know that only Thursday is up today. I will probably wait until Monday to accept then. Hope by then Friday is showing. I am also a little relieved that I am not the only one playing the waiting game on marking them accepted or not. I dont want the person to feel as if I am ignoring them.

You guys are great!!!

I'm in the same boat - I can only mail on Friday or Saturday, so I only accept requests on Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thurs.

It's not rude to wait.  I was also going to say that accepting on Sunday will give you Friday.  I always, always choose the last possible mail by date just incase.  And all the requests I accepted this morning (came on to find 3) gave me a Thursday mail by date when I chose the 5 day option.

Andrea, I do this all the time as my postage money has to wait for my paychecks (on Fridays).  To get a Friday mail-by day the first day you would be able to click the accept button is Sunday.  I have actually sometimes had to let the order sit for almost the full five days and then click on the absolute latest mailing date to ensure that I could match the mailing dates with paydays.
