Going to the beach in a week for a week and I need some ideas (and possibly some deals!) on books that are nice summery, beachy reads. Nobody going is my age so I expect I'll be laying out on the beach and reading most of the time.
(Just for reference I can read a ~200 pg. book in about a day or so...depends on time given.)

Thanks.

If you want plenty of good books that you can take to the beach, I currently have a deal going- I'll send out a box of books for six credits with as many books as will fit in the box.   This includes all the books on my shelf plus many that I haven't gotten around to posting yet.

Some of the books that I have are:

The Nanny Diaries

The Debutante Divorcee

Valley of Silence  by Nora Robert

The Cat who wasn't there

The Magician's Nephew (Chronicles of Narnia)

A walk to Remember

and some Charmed books that I haven't  listed- the power of three, mist and stone, beware what you wish, kiss of darkness, Dates with death

I don't know how many of these would be considered 'summery' reads but if you're interested, I could send boxful of books (probably 30 to 40) for 6 credits.

Please take a look, I have lots of romance books and will do 2/1 credit of 5/2 even 8/3.   Just shout if you find some you like.  Have a great time on vacation and  be careful not to much sun.

I find that Sandra Dallas has some good beach reads.  I just finished The Chili Queen and New Mercies and liked them both.  Aslo, if you haven't read any of Charlaine Harris' books you might take some with you.  They are easily one day/couple hour reads, but well written characters and the Southern Vampire series has lots of humor.   Barbara KIngsolver has some great reads:  Animal Dreams, Bean Trees, and the sequel, Pigs in Heaven, Prodigal Summer.  If you like romance and have never read Julia Quinn's Brigerton series, that is what I read in Florida a couple years ago.  Fun books.

Does anybody else have some nice deals? I've read all the books on my TBR pile, so when I finish up this book I'm reading, I won't have anything else to read. /:

Let me know if you have any deals, or suggestions for some good beach reads. Thanks to everybody who has already posted!
