Hope I can explain so everyone can understand.  I had a deal listed in the multi wish list area. Someone wanted the books so she just buddied my the credits.  I printed a custom label with DC.  She then decided she wanted some other books from me so she ordered them.  Not thinking I went ahead and printed another label with DC from the books requested from me tab.  Mailed the books today, Just realized that the label I used was the custom DC. I marked the other books mailed but it is not showing as being mailed. Oh heck my question is this. What happens when she gets her box and tries to mark it recieved?? Since it is not showing as being mailed.

If you don't/can't mark the books mailed, then the system will cancel the request and forward it along to other senders and the member will end up with two copies of the books.

You cannot mark the books mailed until after you access the address from the request. The system doesn't know that you had her address from some other transaction and used that to send the books. So just click on Print Wrapper and then scroll to the bottom of the screen. Click on Hand-Write the address so that it shows her address on your screen. Then go back to your My Account page and mark the books mailed.

If the transaction has already canceled, then you need to send a PM to the other member ASAP. She needs to go to her My Account page and cancel those new requests right away before some other person sends her the books. Then when your books arrive, she needs to go find the canceled requests in her Transaction Archive and mark them received from there.

If I understand correctly, you marked the books as mailed on your account page but the DC section isn't showing any scans.  Since you used the Custom DC label and not the label you printed from your account page, the DC information on your account page won't be updated.  As long as the receiver marks the books as received you will receive your credits (even if the DC information for the transaction doesn't show any scans).  Since the DC on the package you mailed is different from the DC information showing for the transaction, if it were me, I would PM the receiver to let her know the correct DC number.

I did send her the correct number.   I printed 2 labels, one from the custom dc and one from the request page. I marked the request books mailed but used the custom dc label.  I want to make sure we both get credits for the books that were sent

 I marked the other books mailed but it is not showing as being mailed.  - not understanding this. They are not showing as marked mailed on your PBS tab? Or just not showing mailed in the USPS system for the DC? Not showing as mailed on the USPS system is fine, many books end up travelling the whole way like that. Not showing up on the PBS tab as mailed would be a problem.

The whole transaction will work as if you never used DC at all for the books ordered through the system. You will get credit only once the books are marked received since the DC won't get any scans on it.

You just won't get the credits until she marks them received just like with a non-DC transaction. If they go lost then you won't get the credits because the DC wasn't scanned.

 I mailed them all ( 10 books) in the same box, the box does have dc just not the one I wanted it to have.  I am tired of old age LOL always doing something I shouldn't.

If the book goes lost, I'd contact TPTB.


PBS DC is credit assurance, even if the book isn't scanned.  You get the credit when it's scanned, but if the book goes lost, you should still get credit.


If you sent the book with PBS-DC and it was never scanned (this does happen, rarely), contact us.   PBS could not give QuickCredit if our system was never notified of a barcode scan.  If your sending record is good, you will get your credit for sending the book.  This is the CreditAssurance part of PBS-DC.
