i put my account on hold today b/c ihave to slow down a bit. i have sent over 30 books out and have only been here for a little over a week! lol!
but one book is on someone's WL (48 hold).
what happens in that situation? do i have to put my account out of "on hold" status before that person can accept?

thanks. i just wanted to make sure that the book would be accessible to the person who its waiting on right now.
never thought 48 was soo long before! lol! |

so this means my WL is on hold too right? darn!!! i just cant keep shipping out books before i get some of the ones that are on my WL..i have to justify my existence here somehow! lol! |

your WL is not on hold if you have your books on auto request (if I remember correctly). I think your WL is on hold if you do not have them set to auto request |
You have to set your WL books on autorequest if you still want to receive them but not take any book orders. Any WL books you post while your account is on hold will not go on hold and will be offered to the 1st person in line. It used to be any books you post while your account is on hold will be available but I think they changed this to WL books. |

thanks!
Mary, just one more Q pls. what do you mean by "any WL books you post"....??

Actually that has been changed and if you list wish list books while your account is on hold they ARE NOT offered until you take your account off hold. From the help center:

It used to be that if your account was on hold and you posted a book that was on someone's WL it would be offered to that person. But apparently it just goes on hold w/the rest of your books now. |
Just put your account on hold and put all your wl books on autorequest. That way you can get books but won't be getting new orders. You can also order books (not WL) while your account is on hold. |

I'm not a "newbie," but where do I find the "club wish list" someone mentioned? I'd surely like peek at THAT one! |
Oooops!!! Found it!!! Should look more before I start asking questions! |

Margaretann, Put your cursor on the Search tab at the top of the page, and you'll see "club wish list." |

ok, that makes more sense. i dont want to 'clear" my bookshelf b/c i have over 300 titles posted and i dont want to have to enter them all again! lol! |
Oh, good. I was going to tell you not to clear your bookshelf, because even while you are on hold, your books will be moving up in the FIFO order. The order is determined by the date the book is posted to your shelf. You were certainly welcomed to the club with a bang! 30 books! I promise it'll slow down a bit after all your wishlisted books are grabbed up. :-) |
