there are only a few books available and so far my request has moved through every single person with no response from any of them and I'm about to time out with no response from the last person.

What happens after that? Does it go back to the first person again like a neverending circle?

It will be added to your WL. You'll be first in line for it. Hope this helps! :)

Each non-answer removes that book from the system, so you won't go back to those members again unless they repost the books.

Thanks!

I know the last person that it went to (where I'm stuck right now) has been on because she has added books to her WL after my request.

I'd rather someone hit "I cannot send" than to just ignore it.

Oh well.

What a bummer, Janet.  I hope that book finds its way to you soon.

She may be waiting until it's almost timed out so she has longer to mail the book out.  Some people can only afford postage on payday or the books in storage so she wants extra time to retrieve the book.  Could be she's still reading it!  I made the mistake of posting a couple books I hadn't read yet.  I didn't expect them to be requested so quickly.  I had to speed read one and the other I just sent out.   Not doing that again.

BTW: what book is it? Maybe someone has it in their TBR pile.
