What happens when I request a book that times out, sending the request on to the next person in line? Does that first book stay in the FIFO line? Does the book get removed from FIFO? Does it get removed from the FIFO line after timing out a certain number of times?

I'm just curious, considering the recent run of bad luck I've been having with my book requests timing out. *sigh*

The book gets removed from the person's book shelf. They would have to relist it, going to the very back of the line.

Katy, the first book that timed out on you would have been removed from FIFO immediately and from the system when the request moved to another person.  A person would then need to repost it to their bookshelf to have it available at PBS, thus putting them at the END of the FIFO sendout line for that book.

Phew, that is good to know. At least I now know that my frustrations have resulted in books posted by inactive members being removed from FIFO. ;)

Also those time outs send a little red flag to PBS who can then shut down the account if it appears inactive. They recently reduced the # of no respones (I don't know to what) in an effort to get more of the dead accounts out of the system.
