I'm not on here much so I don't know if I'll see posts for several days. Just wanted to post this link to a good talk on "What Hollywood Believes" - it's rather interesting to hear what others' faith is. Anyway, just wanted to post it. There's also a book by the same name, but the audio is free. Enjoy!

Just got the book and it's pretty good!  Really sad to see just what the people of Hollywood believe.

Interesting book - thanks for the link!  I love this statement by Jodie Foster:

"So how could you ask me to believe in God when there's absolutely no evidence that I can see? I do believe in the beauty and the awe-inspiring mystery of the science that's out there that we haven't discovered yet, that there are scientific explanations for phenomena that we call mystical because we don't know any better."

That's a great statement by Jodie Foster.  I really like her.  She's a great actress and she doesn't follow along with the Hollywood hype.

I love her too.  She's handled her public life with class. Plus, she's smart and I like that in an actress/actor.

I can't get the link to open. Is it about Scientology? That seems to be what I hear about related to Hollywood.

Shannon, you might want to try the link again and I hope it works for you. It came up on my Windows Media Player. The speaker is a born-again Christian and is talking the importance of belief in God and having a close walk with the Lord. He's funny and is saying things I believe you would agree with and enjoy. It's like a really good sermon. I didn't agree with everything he said, in fact, he's about 180 degrees from the things I believe as a liberal Christian, but it was very enjoyable and I think someone with a conservative (traditional) Christian outlook would really enjoy it and benefit from it.

I certainly enjoyed it. Thank you, Tamara!

Shannon, I sympathize - mine has a crank on the side of the box, too. :-)

Here's a .pdf of an interview with the speaker: http://www.whathollywoodbelieves.com/images/what_hollywood_believes.pdf   so maybe you can get to that  and

here is his website with all kinds of free goodies and information: http://www.livingwaters.com/ .

Lol, Shannon, that was my first thought too.  Scientology or kabbalah (which a lot of celebs profess to follow, but who really knows if their sincere?)

ETA: Bono had some interesting thoughts..."I often wonder if religion is the enemy of God."

I wish politicians would be as open as celebrities about what they really believe.  I don't believe that every politician in office right now is a Christian.  I admire the ones that are willing to run and be honest and say they are Mormons or Jewish or whatever, even though it hurts their chances severely of obtaining a government seat.  What a difference in would make in our country if politicans actually were truthful for a change......

Interesting question. I wonder if some of them worship the devil sometimes! (Joke in case somebody takes offense!)

Well, I mean, politics are politics, and they tell the masses what they want to hear, but I've always wondered.  A lot of those politicians live very much like Hollywood stars....they're just very discreet about it.
