Well I didn't get any for Christmas so I order myself a bunch from books a million last night LOL. Merry Christmas to me. I ordered my cozy fix for the beginning of the year. Here's what I'll be getting (tho 1 of these is a romance not a mystery)

A Lie for a Lie by Emilie Richards

Star Bright by Catherine Anderson (Romance)

Veiled Deceptions by Annette Blair

The Ghost and the Haunted Mansion by Alice Kimberly

Eggs in Purgatory by Laura Childs

I stopped there because I didn't want to spend $50 right now LOL.

No books under the tree, but I did get a gift certificate for Books-a-Million. Am scoping out some soon-to-be-released titles and will place an order soon!

I didn't get them Susan, I had to order them for myself. Hubby does not take hints very well. I think I'm going to have to staple a post it to his forehead next year LOL :)

I wanted GC's too but didn't get those either. See above note ;D    Oh well...at least since I picked 'em out and ordered them I know they are what I wanted. I just ordered them last night while he was at work and told him this morning "Guess what you got me for Christmas" LOL

I gave myself some holiday gifts this year by placing two orders from http://www.bookcloseouts.com. They had a free shipping special on (still do, til Dec. 31, for orders over $35) so I placed one order for my birthday and then this past week another one for my Solstice gift to myself. I've been really, really good all year about not making many book purchases and mostly relying on PBS and the library, so I look at this as my just reward. Some of these were on my wishlist and others just sounded interesting.

For mysteries, I got:

Stalked by Brian Freeman

The Eye of Jade by Diane Wei Lang

Who Murdered Chaucer? A Medieval Mystery by Terry Jones

Black Seconds by Karin Fossum

Ritual by Mo Hayder

The Cruelest Month by Louise Penny

Hell Hole by Chris Grabenstein

In the Wind by Barbara Fister

Some Danger Involved by Will Thomas

A Fountain Filled With Blood by Julia Spencer-Fleming

There were a few others, non-mysteries, also. I've gotten the first order already and expect the other next week. Weeeeeeeeeeee! :)

I got 8 mystery/thrillers.  I'm pretty sure that DH went to Costco and got everything on the book table that looked like a mystery.  All are big releases, but I hadn't read any of them yet, and several were in series I've been reading.

The Testament and The Appeal by Grisham

T is for Trespass by Grafton

The Pagan Stone by Roberts

Whispers by Koontz (re-released but I hadn't read it)

Women's Murder Club #6 by Patterson

Double Cross by Patterson

Into the Storm by Brockman

I got 2 cookbooks but no mysteries...but then I don't think I had any on my list.  My TBR is down to 380 on here and I'm trying to whittle it down even more before I get too many more books!

and of course I'm trying to read all the WL books first so I can send them on their way to a new home

I got a boxed set of Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse mysteries plus, I got two books (mysteries) in the mail today so it's almost like getting them for Christmas. :)

I am collecting Patricia Wentworth "Miss Silver" books and those can't be bought new, so a few weeks before Christmas I bought a lot of 7 I hadn't read on ebay. :-)

My DH got me book 3 and book 4 from Susan Wittig Albert's "Cottage Tales" mysteries (Beatrix Potter).

Well if I ever get the darn things...the order is still pending...then I will have to finish whatever I'm reading when it gets here. i hate waiting on new stuff to show up...I end up going ahead and starting something new then when I get all into that book the new one finally shows up and then I have to try to hurry up so i can get to what i want to read the most. I'm really looking forward to The Ghost and Haunted Mansion the Most so I'll probably read that one first. But i'll keep you in mind when I get to Eggs

I got Death Perception by Victoria Laurie, and the 2008 Southern Living Recipes.  Plus, I got Demons are a Ghoul's Best Friend recently so it's like a present to me from me. (the best kind...esp. when you don't have to pay for it!)

I was given The House on Tradd Street by Karen White - it was very good, and she's writing a sequel with the same characters! Deb
