This book is NOT for the serious-minded but is very funny and refreshingly different for those who want to escape reality if only for a few pages at a time.

I really had mixed feelings about reading this but it caught my interest and I was NOT disappointed--I really, really enjoyed this.

Towards the end, it did start to drag a little, but I forced myself to hang in there and I was again--not disappointed.

I ended up hating to see it end. A Great Book.

Cute, quick read. Jane runs over a bunny, who happens to be a shape-shifting elf, and is put on trial for murder.

An amusing cross between a romance and an other-world fantasy. Jane is magically transported into another world, where she falls in love with an elf, and discovers her past and her destiny. An easy read, with a scattering of laughs and sexy scenes - fun for the romance fans as well as the fantasy fans.

While this book is lighthearted by theme, it is not a piece of fluff easily read in two hours. Included between the covers are: a (seemingly epic) journey, opposing politics between ruling factions, betrayal, murder, magic, attacks launched by sand beings, personal growth, fertility issues, discovery of one's true parentage and destiny. As well as a population of elves, fairies and other creatures.
There are a few incongruities to be overlooked. The one that most stuck in my craw was that, in a place riddled with magic, why are the good citizens suspicious and fearful of an outsider with magical powers? Overall, I did enjoy this book. The writing kept me turning pages, the setting was imaginative and the cast of characters kept me interested.

In a sense this fabulous epic romantic fantasy is a coming of age story starring a terrific if somewhat bewildered heroine
with her champion (though she does much of the rescuing) at her side. Jane is a terrific protagonist and Charlie brings honor and
ethics to the legal profession (lawyers are too easily a fall group for doing their jobs representing people). The mythological
species that populate Lowth come across as genuine in this sterling tale that showcases the talents of a delightful imaginative
author. Read this fine book to learn how the heroine answered the title question in this "It Happened to Jane" adventure tale.

I had a happy ride with this little vehicle. I came for the fantasy Elf Elements and was not disappointed with the easy reading
action and humorous characterizations. We're not talking complex literature here, but the protagonists *do* evolve and the
conflict resolution is satisfying.

This was great! I keep checking back to see if this author has written anything else. Sort of light sci-fi meets contemporary paranormal romance. Loved it!
