I just got the second shelf & already need a third....

LOL!  That's why I keep very few books.  I have a few series I keep but swap the rest.  It will be years before I would want to read them again, so I'll just get them again when I do.

I had to look at your join date 'cause that looks like mine after 6 months- once I found I could buy credits things got way out of control esp discovering the book bazaar! If I took photos of what it looks like now you'd run away scared to death!

That is my bookcase in my dining room exactly.  Same books, and same bookcase.

I like Paula keep very few books.  I love to give them to other people to read.  It makes me happy!!!

I have shelves that look like that too!  My shelves are between my office and bedroom and are overflowing.  LOL  I like to have all the ones for a series before I start reading and that adds up quickly.

I am slowly getting rid of some of my old "keepers".  Think I may take some of them back to the UBS - there are usually lots of the mystery/thriller books already listed here - but some of the authors tend to be bought pretty quickly at my UBS - even the older ones. 

I do have a couple of authors that I will be keeping.  LKH, Terry Goodkind, F. Paul Wilson, Kim Harrison, Sunny(?), Joey W. Hill....

My bookshelves are ATROCIOUS!!!!  I probably have 115 MMPB and 15 or so TSPB on ONE shelf - my PnR shelf.  I have 2 shelves of Erotica - probably about 150 total????  Almost all TSPB  Then I have 1 1/2 shelves of HB misc books, 1 full shelf of YA, ARC's, and books that I don't have room for on the correct shelf, another shelf double stacked with misc MMPB and about 12 boxes in my bedroom......I know there is more in the garage - just can't get to them!

I'd call one of those organizing shows - but they would try and make me get rid of them.....

Oh.  That is nothing.  My shelves are 2 or 3 books deep.  The whole dining room is now walled in bookcases.  (No windows, book heaven.)  Have a small folding bookcase of TBR and another only posted books. 

Sadly these are just my keepers & Paranormal. The rest are in the basement.

Oh funny you should bring this up....we just but a book case like that in my bedroom and I put all my TBR trade paper backs (and a few hard covers) on it, around 236 books! Its so nice to have them where I can see them instead of in boxes! I think I will put another one in my room, then I can get all my paranormal MMPBs on it! All grouped by author, and semi-alphabetical! I laid my trades down flat, and covered each stacked shelf with a pillow case to keep the dust off (plus hides the naked people on a lot of the covers LOL) Maybe tomorrow I'll do a picture!

There are NO bookcases in my bedroom.  I'd never sleep.  Of course, I do live in an earthquake zone.  But I'd be up all night reading.

Ditto and a 5 drawer filing cabiniet and 3 boxes!  I'm too embarrassed to take a photo.

I wish mine was that simple and neat. 

These are all unread books: I have 6 large shelves that stand on the ground. All but one of those are two books deep.  I have 11 shelves that are four levels on my walls - they hold 20 paperbacks per level. I have a deep three drawer table filled with books. I have six accent shelves that have "displays" of more unread books. You know, artfully arranged .... but really disguised! lol

ETA: I forgot the ones on my floor next to the shelf because there is no place to put them yet. They'e all hardbacks. I have colored crates I use like bookshelves for these. I've had to get creative so I don't have stacks of them every where! lol

I have them in two rooms and do not allow book shelves in my living room because I would look just as ecentric about books as I am! lol

I have my PBS books and the books I Keep out in the garage on floor to ceiling built-in book shelves. My daughter is also on PBS but her bookshelves in her room look more like Erin's. Neat and tidy! :)

I want to shop your shelves too.  I am going through the pics thinking -- read that, read that..... hmmmm. wonder what that is....

Ashley, btw, your ability to recognize books from descriptions and images is astounding.

I just joined PBS in late December and my TBR is really amazing.  Realizing that I could buy credits was the most terrible thing!  Realizing that PBS can cut you off from buying credits was even MORE terrible!  LOL. They actually cut me off last month.  I got a message saying I needed to get credits by swapping books not just by purchasing credits!  Ugh.  Apparantly, I am not supposed to just COLLECT these books... I am supposed to read them.... I guess I will give that a whirl.  ;o)
