New week

I just finished up The Ghost Hunter by Lori Brighton.  Intriguing story with good dialog but just didn't quite satisfy me.  The author had a few holes in the story that were never explained and I felt like I was missing some backstory, even though this was a 1st in the series.   Still, a decent read and an author to watch if she can tweak her writing a bit.

I'm still reading The Darkest Seduction.  It's good, but a three-day headache AND the Olympics have totally sidelined my reading.  I am an Olympics junkie!!

I'm reading Vicki Lewis Thompson's latest Blaze in the Sons of Chance series - liking it. I put aside the Kerrelyn Sparks book - just wasn't into the malcontents and Corky and guess I'll wait..I'mliking the hero better than I did in previous books but still I wasn't ready for his story yet.

Finished Julie Jame's The Sexiest Man Alive and it was a good read...very vanilla though. Took me awhile to warm to Justin...he was just such an A$$.

Almost finished The Bid by Jax and it is meh, there isn't much story to it. The front cover implied menege but it isn't, I'm very disappointed about that.

Next up is Caine's Reckoning by Sarah McCarty.

In addition to reading the Abe Lincoln book, I read The Madness of Lord Ian Makenzie. I loved it! Are the rest of the books in this series good? I'm always worried when the first one is great that the rest will be meh. Ian reminded me of a Victorian Sheldon but more romantic. I'm also reading Reaper's Justice by Sarah McCarty. It's not wowing me but it's still good enough to finish.

Rebecca, IMO yes they are all just as good in that series. Ian's book is special though and is hard to compare. Wait until you get to Hart's book...oh the yummy!

Rebecca, I agree, the other books are just as good.  I loved them!  I can't wait for Elliott's & Daniel's books.

I read a new to me author yesterday - Brenda Novak.  It was her new novella in the Whisky Creek series - When We Touch.  Really good.  I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Going to start on Defiant by Pamela Clare today.  On a side note, this will be the first dead-tree book I've read in MONTHS.  LOL

Oh I hope you like it Sherri as much as I did. I started Elaine Levine's Audrey and the Maverick, but had to stop and read Molly Harper's The Care and Feeding of a Vampire and so far it has all been typical MH snark and goodness.

Finished Breathe. KA really let her geek flag fly with that one, and I loved every moment of it. Still not on par with The Gamble or Sweet Dreams, but infinitely better than Lady Luck. And her editing wasn't as bad, so score!

I've now started Naughty Little Secret by Shelley Bradley.

I can't wait to get Defiant!  I think I'm still some ways down on the wish list, though.

I haven't read Hart's book yet, but it's on my TBR.  I've loved all of the books in that series, but I agree, Ian's was special.

STILL reading The Darkest Seduction.....this is a LONG book!

Finishing up Edith Layton's last book, A Bride for His Convenience. I'm afraid she went out with more of a whimper than a bang. The hero is all over the place, as if he was supposed to have a split personality or an evil twin or something. The heroine is good, though.

Finished Molly Harper's The Care and Feeding of a Stray Vampire. Fun and snarky as usual and a great read to boot.

I liked all of the Mackenzie books by Ashley too. I'm reading Hart's book now. Yay. They're all good in their own different ways. Such scarred heroes. Gotta love 'em!

Started The Darkest Hour by Maya Banks, Kind of Nora Robertish, if she wrote military heroes. Enjoying it.

Oh Willa - I love that series.  It just keeps getting better & better, IMO.  Maya Banks writes good alpha heroes.

I'm almost finished with The Darkest Seduction.  It's been really good, but I'm almost sick of the bouncing back & forth.... they are together, they can't be together, they are together, they will never be together, etc.  Enough angst already.  Figure out a solution! This book did not need to be 500 pages!

I just finished Nina Bruhns White Heat....really good although the ending was too abrupt, but it did have a really sexy love scenes.

I read Lover Reborn, finally. I think it is my favorite of the series so far. Now I can't wait for March! No clue what to read after it though.

I started Seduction and Scandal by Charlotte Featherstone (library ebook) after the talk about it here a couple of weeks ago...so far it's pretty good though I haven't really gotten into much of anything lately (well except for Thompson's Harlequin blaze!)

Echoes at Dawn (KGI, Bk 5) was another good one in this series. The romance was a little too "quick" for me, but otherwise, it was great hearing Grace and Rio's story. And from the excerpt of Shades of Gray at the end, it looks like we could possibly have a P.J./Cole hookup....finally!

Up next is The Second Book of Grimm (Grimm's Circle).

I'm reading a Sillouette Nocturne, Touch of the Wolf. I've got library books waiting but I have eye issues and right now they're hard to see. Reading on my Kindle app is so much easier.
