I'm on page 286 of breaking dawn by Stephenie Meyer. I read the whole Twilight series and this is the last book. The 3rd and so far, the 4th books are the best of the series. I can't wait to find out what happens!

I am about halfway through the final book in Joe Abercrombie's First Law Trilogy, Last Argument of Kings.

Not reading any fantasy right now--everything I have going is mystery at the moment--I seem to go in streaks. But I did just finish listening to the first in series of two great YA fantasy series....The Alchemyst: Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott and then The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau. Great "listens" those were! Otherwise the only other fantasy I've read this month is one of Terry Pratchett's Discworld books, Moving Pictures. However, I've got the third of Terry Brooks' Genesis of Shannara series, The Gypsy Morph, sitting here staring at me, so that won't last the month on my TBR I'm sure!

Jennifer, how do you like that series by Joe Abercrombie? I am first in line for the paperback of the first one--in fact I was bummed 'cause it came up from my WL and then the sender cancelled because she'd made an error--had meant to WL it, not post it. LOL So now I gotta wait awhile longer to get it. It looks good, though!

Currently I am reading Kushiel's Dart. Up next is Twilight (it is my book club's selection for November). Then I will have to decide if I want to go right into the next Kushiel book or select something different from my giant TBR pile.

Axis - First Book of the Wayfarer Redemption but I'll finish that shortly. Then, I will also probably dive into The Last Argument of Kings.

I alternate between SF and Fantasy.

Yesterday I finished Olympic Games by Leslie What, today I started Alien Influences by Kristine Kathryn Rusch.

Cheryl, I am really enjoying the Abercrombie books. I can't exactly put my finger on it, but for some reason I am hooked! I think the characterizations in the series is pretty much flawless and the way the author changes his voice and writing style depending on which character he is writing about is really great. I definitely recommend the First Law trilogy!

I'm reading the Dark Elf trilogy by RA Salvatore.  I just finished book 2 - Exile and am waiting for book 3 to arrive in the mail.

While I wait, I thought I'd skim/re-read Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn books 1 and 2 in anticipation for book 3's  release in a couple of weeks.  I've got a Barnes and Noble gift card from my mother-in-law ready for that occasion...

I've recently started rereading Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time saga, just started book 2 The Great Hunt.  I probably won't finish by the time the 12th and final book comes out next September, but we'll see!

I'm also finishing off the latest Star Wars saga, Legends of the Force.  (Not the best of that universe, but certainly better than some of the more recent stuff they've been churning out.)  And Terry Brooks' The Gypsy Morph is practically jumping off my reading pile too - that will probably be next!

Rebecca,

What did you think of Axis?  Did you like it well enough to finish the series?

I'm in the middle of Goodkind's SOT series.  Have been for a while actually.  Im stuck on Pillars of Creation.  It's just not as good as the others, I can't get into it.  I'm new to Fantasy, the SOT books are my first.  I was thinking of reading the Shannara books next, but it's a pretty long and I don't want to get hung up on one like I have with SOT.
