I am finishing up The Girl Most Likely to:...   by Susan Donovan.    It is good so far.  I think I am moving on to Texas Destiny by Lorriane Heath (based on recommendations received  here).

i've been reading a lot of non-romance, or books for swap games i couldn't talk about yet lately.

but i did reveal Secrets in the Shadows (Guardians of the Night, Bk 2) by Jenna Black already, which i did enjoy.  way more wishers than when i first put it on my list (but finally gave up and just bought), so i guess her urban fantasy series is getting more people to want to read her romance books, which is cool.

the last book i read was a kids book, Dragon Slippers by Jessica Day George, which was fun.  i don't know what i put on my wishlist over there, but amazon started recommending this, and since the library had it, i gave it a quick read.

i just noticed in another post my member since date - tomorrow is my 1 year anniversary of joining PBS!

Hey everone, long time no chat.   I have been very busy moving in and getting use to my new job. It has now been 6 months and I can take a breather.  AND best of all i have been reading again.

Fist I finished the harmony Books by Jayne Castle!  LOVED them.  Than I read the Ice books by Anne Stuart.  Enjoyed them but they were not my fav.  Now I am reading The Black Sheet and the Hidden Beauty by Donna Kauffma.  Next I think I am going to read Plum Spooky by Janet E.

I hope to get to know all of you again and get back to reading.  My TBR is still huge but I am loving it again.

I"m still reading The Mane Attraction by Shelly Laurenston. It's good! 3rd in this series about shape shifters. I'm about 1/3 through it..got too sleepy to keep reading! not sure what I'll read next..not sure if I'm in the mood for historical western, more paranormal, or suspense...

Finished Homeplace by Dorothy Garlock, which was her usual heartwarming, sweet story.  The beginning  mislead me to think it would a horror of a romance, with the digusting hero seducing a 15 yr old / step-mom then marrying the said hero....but it was not.  Without giving out any spoliers, I will say, things are not what they appear.  I thought it was an OK book.

I ordered a whole bunch of Lauren Wilde books from eBay which I will be reading this week.  I am starting to really like this author.

Just finished Summer Campaign (Signet Regency Romance) by Carla Kelly. I really liked the story, although I thought the hero a little TOO sensitive in this one. I like how Kelly does not have macho guys in her books, but this one was a bit much.

Just finished Midnight Warrior by Iris Johansen. The ending had a good twist to it. I enjoy that, something totally unexpected.  Good read for a cold Sunday.

I've been reading the Outlandish Companion here and there, and when I'm not skimming that, I'm reading Morgan (Buckhorn Brothers) and am about halfway through.  It's ok- not blowing me away or anything.  Also read a book for the cowboy swap, but haven't revealed yet.

I just finished a 1988 Signet Regency and now am going back to Eloisa James' DESPERATE DUCHESSES. I have the first 3 books in this series from the library so have to hustle to get them read. I've never read her before, not used to her writing style, so the jury's still out on how I feel about her. I'm only signed up for one '09 reading challenge but haven't started reading those books yet. The TBR mountain is too huge to contemplate.  Gail

One unpostable free with an order - Captives Of The Night/Loretta Chase (pm me for details on condition)

I am 3/4 done with Jordan by Lori Foster. Hope to finish tonight if not too tired. I am really enjoying this series. I never met any men like these when I was single, that's for sure! Evidently, I should have moved to Kentucky.

Gail those books by Eloisa James are different, aren't they?  Does it make you want to drag out the chess set? I got my old Renaissance set out, much to the delight of my kids. They still like to get it out and play with it.

Hi Anne - yes, the James books, well at least this first one, is different. I usually read Regency-set historicals but I do like Georgians, too. Nothing like a sexy, manly man dressed in lace and satin. :}  The only other book about chess that I've read is Katherine Neville's THE EIGHT and I know so little about chess that this is quite an education for me. I've read so much mixed reports on James that I wasn't sure if I'd like her or not, but a woman who works with me gave me one of her books which turned out to be the 4th books in this particular series so I thought I'd better read the books in order.        Gail

I'm still reading my Christmas anthology as well as Like a Charm by Candace Havens. It's set in the same town as her Bronwyn the witch books, in fact the heroine--who sees dead people, BTW--becomes Bronwyn's best friend.

I just started Dance with the Devil (Dark-Hunter, Bk 4) by Sherrilyn Kenyon this morning.  I'm loving the Dark-Hunter series.  I'm reading one of them, then a book that has been on Mt. TBR for awhile, then back to the Dark-Hunters!

I just finished up Heartbreakers: Treat Her Right\Mr. November (Hqn Romance) by Lori Foster which was reprint of 2 of her Harlequin Temptations.  I had read Mr. November before but enjoyed reading again and the other story Treat Her Right was tied into it and was a sweet/funny romance.

Up next is something off of Mt. TBR - maybe I'll just close my eyes and grab one, good a method as any LOL!

I read Brazen by Maya Banks today.  I must say, she's my newest favorite author.

I'm onto The Taste of Temptation by Maria Lyonesse, an erotica book.  Like the mostly nekkid woman on the cover doesn't give that away!

I just finished up Jane and the Sneaky Dom by Hannah Murray and it was a cute, hot, fun read!  I may have to get the next one - The Devil and Ms. Johnson (cause those characters in the Sneaky Dom book peaked my interest as well).

Gail, you must read The Seduction by Julia Ross. Also, if you can get it, Heartless by Mary Balogh. Awesome Georgians.

Today I read Dangerous Lover by Lisa Marie Rice. I liked it and finished it pretty quickly.

I'm still trying to decide what I'll read next...
