I may start Pamla Morsi's The Lovesick Cure today. In the mood for romance, but not sure what I am in the mood for exactly.

Started Double TIme by Olivia Cunning. I feel like she's... cleaned them up, somehow. Not the same style.

I'm reading Hard Day's Knight by Katie MacAlister.  I was laughing just a few pages in... needed that!

Hunter's Season by Thea Harrison was good but not great.  I didn't feel the zing between the H/h

I finished Seduced in the Dark and OMG - I loved, loved, loved it!! It was just absolutely awesome. Such a rollercoaster.

Now I'm reading Shalvis' Simply Irresistable. NTM author and I really like it - I'm only about 10 pages or so into it.

I'm reading Maid for the Billionaire by Ruth Cardello.  It's so bad I can't stop reading, just so I can see how bad it is.   wink

I finished The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley- it was very good.  I think I liked Mariana just a little bit more, but enjoyed this one as well.  I predicted the twist at the end of this one, so at least did not come out of it feeling as dumb as I did when I finished Mariana, lol.

Think I will be starting Courting Carolina by Janet Chapman next.

Started The Vampire Demitri. It's okay, but the heroine seems like a PITA. My slump is still kind of slumping...

Maid for the Billionaire by Ruth Cardello was ridiculously awful. Props for entertaining me, if nothing else.    Think I'm going to start a Jennifer Ashley next.

I wasn't very impressed by Dane's Captivated. Definitely my least favorite in the series so far. I also finished Croc and the Fox by Eve Langlais, which was OK. Now have started Love Me by Bella Andre.

I LOVE that book lol it's a keeper for me. Last book I read was Mate Claimed by Jennifer Ashley, which was awesome of course. Now I have absolutely no idea what to read next :(

I started Heather Webber's A Hoe Lot of Trouble, it finally came today after being on my w/l for months.  Read it during carpool (yes, carpool takes that long).  There's a cheating hubby (which I absolutely hate) and no romance, so I gave up the whole series.  Then I picked up Mercy Kill by Lori Armstrong, which also has a cheating husband (at least a secondary character this time).  My DH is going to be so confused when he gets home and I'm already mad at him.  The poor guy just has no idea how books effect me.

Renee, I have that same problem when I read really intense old bodice rippers with super cruel heroes... I just want to bite my husband's head off!

I finished Zane's Redemption by Tina Folsom and really liked it. I've enjoyed this whole series. I like the author a lot even if she has a weird way of wording things sometimes.

I'm re-reading a Jacquelyn Frank book, Drink of Me, right now because I wasn't in the mood to start anything else.

I'm almost done with Hard Day's Knight.  I'm enjoying it immensely, although I have a couple of gripes.  Pepper (the heroine) is WAY too "cheeky" in the way she speaks.  A remark here and there would be fine...but every conversation she has is like that.  It makes her sound cutesy and bimbo-ish, when she's not really portrayed as such.  Also, I don't think Katie MacAlister has any experience with cats.  lol  Pepper's "sidekick" is a cat she's sitting for, and this cat eats people food all the time, eats and chews on everything in sight (socks, canvas tents, fringe on shoes, etc) AND walks all over the fairgrounds on a leash.  I've had many, many cats and they've never acted like that.  lol

I finished Lori Armstrong's Mercy Kill, it was really good.  Definitely not a romance, though.  I like the series and hate that I'm so far down the w/l for them.

I love the Mercy series and her Julie Collins PI series, both very good. Martinez is mouth watering in the JC series.

ETA: I finished Miranda Nevill's The Second Seduction of a Lady, and as much love as I have for MN, this story just didn't work for me. It was too short to get me to believe in the romance and I didn't like Elienore very much.

DNF'd Chasing Trouble by Anne Stuart, for the second time. Tried to hard to be funny, didn't succeed. Not really liking any of my other books much either, but I have to read them. :-\

I loved CHASING TROUBLE when I read it when it first came out. It did not stand the test of time. When I was purging my Stuarts I started rereading it (it was on my keeper shelf) and it was not anywhere near as enjoyable as the first time. It felt good being able to so easily ditch it.

Sometimes I have a very hard time getting rid of those keepers.

Finished Simply Irresistable. Really enjoyed it. Guess I have another series to read there.

Now I'm reading my first Kristen Ashley - Breathe. Loving it!! this definitely won't be my last! I'm only about a third of the way through, and it's so hard to put it down. I just love Chace. Although, in the beginning, I wouldn't have been as nice as Maddie over how he was treating her. Maybe after crushing on him for so long, she was just in shock. Idk. Since he decided to go for it though, I guess he's made up for it. And then some. wink
