New week! I started Whispers in the Dark last night. Big mistake -- I was up past 1!

I started Burning Up (anthology).  I needed something short and different after being immersed in Sinful.  I really don't want to read anything now... I'm still in love with Matthew from that book.  lol   Thank goodness I found the epilogue on her web site, as well as the short Valentine's story.

I'm reading Nice Girls Don't Live Forever by Molly Harper.  I don't know why this series has enthalled me so - just really enjoying it.  A comfort type read.  And I love Dick Cheney!  (a character in the book, not the former VP)

He is a hoot Sherri and he tries to take over the series constantly. I finished Mary Balogh's A Summer To Remember and I gave it 3.5 stars. It was good, just didn't blow me away. I have started Kresley Cole's Poison Princess and I am trying to keep an open mind and know it is YA...ugh...I am jonesing for an IAD fix soooo bad!!

Oh im right there with ya Keri. I could go for a new IAD book!!  *sigh*    Im curious about the YA book. I read one bad review and it kind of has me leary.

I just finished a horror book that was all blood and guts everywhere and now im SO ready for a hit of romance. Getting ready to start Linda Howard's Prey.

Oh Meliisa, watch out! Prey has a scene so horrific it literally traumatized me.  If you're not in the mood for more blood and guts, you might want to try it later.

I finished The Rose Garden by Susanna Kearsley and loved it.  Now I'm depressed because I don't have any more of her books on my TBR to look forward to.  I don't know what to start next- I always have this problem after finishing a really good book, because it doesn't seem like anything I try to read next will measure up.

Finally....finally!!!...finished Game of Thrones. I will definitely continue on with this series, but Martin seriously needs to break those books up into smaller segments. It took me two weeks to finish that one, which is absolutely unheard of for me. And why is that I can read all about people getting killed in horrific ways and not cringe (too much) but the moment an animal is hurt, I'm ready to throw the book against a wall and burst into tears?

I'm now about halfway through Lori Foster's Heartbreakers which has been pretty unremarkable.

Nasty Sandy weather here, too. Too antsy and nervous to read, and I really want to read (can hardly bear to put down A GAME OF THRONES) but can't concentrate until Sandy has left the building.

I know that feeling -- hard to concentrate. I hope you guys will get through okay!

I'm reading Susanna Fraser's latest historical... blanking on the title. It's really good, though.

I finished Nalini Singh's story in Burning Up.  It was ok, not nearly as good as the rest of that series.  I'm not really in the mood for paranormal, so I may put the book aside and finish the other stories another time.  I think I'm still in a funk (because it was SO good, not bad)  from finishing Sinful & not knowing what to read next.

I finished Heartbreakers and found myself craving some KA, so I started Wild Man last night. Brock was such a badass in the first book, can't wait to see what he gets into in this one.

I started Karen M Moning's Iced. I can't wait to really get into it...darn work!

ETA: I finished Anne Gracie's The Perfect Stranger and I enjoyed it, but it didn't quite have the humor that I like from her. It was a good book though.

Read Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors by Molly Harper - last in the JJ series.   It was good - a nice wrapup to the series.

Melissa, I picked it up at BN for 16 bucks with my membership and the 30% off sticker. As big as the book is, it was worth it to me.

See it was almost $19 at Walmart. I know I can get it at Amazon for $15.88. And it'll ship free with the Amazon Prime so thats really whats tempting me. And i'll have it in my hands in a couple of days. Hmmmm...

ETA: The reviews are looking pretty good so far. Of course im just skimming them. I dont want to run into any spoilers.

Read an erotic novella by Charlotte Stein, Deep Desire. Extremely good.  Also reading Lord's Fall by Thea Harrison. I'm listening to A Certain Slant of Light, which is interestingly creepy.
