I finished Visiom Impossible by Victoria Laurie. it's farther down the Psychic Eye mysteries - I'm really mixed on how I feel about the book. for anyone who's read this series Abby is sorta softer/cutesy with lots of funny/silly side characters(the handyman/friend who wears garlic when he thinks there's evil around, the cute doggies) actually the book before this I thought she was getting a bit arrogant. In this one she's more serious but she's stuck in a CIA spy role with lots of violence/danger compared to her previous books. I sorta miss the silliness yet liked 2 other characters in this book that I'd like to see featured in future books but can't see the cuteness in a spy series. she went expensive hardback midseries so this was a library book!

started a Blaze that just arrived - Devil in Dress Blues by Karen Foley - a bit more suspenseful feel that I wanted but I'll see how it goe s- it kept my attention in spite of being soooo sleepy but finally headed to bed.

I started Taken By the Prince by Christina Dodd, without high expectations -- have hated all her recent books. It seems pretty good, however.

I finished Beginner's Guide To Rakes and it was an ok book, I had troubles with the hero. My review is up on Goodreads, but it contains spoilers.

Tried to read Under the Mistletoe by Irene Brand and Anita Higman but just couldn't get through it.  The first story was a bit too religious for my liking and the second story was too hokey.  I guess I'll dig through the TBR pile to find something else.

DNF for Marti Talbott's Highlander Series I by Marti Talbott.  Seriously?  You can't even come up with a title?  Thank God it was a freebie.  I also looked thru a few cookbooks BN had for free lately and finished up the BDB: An Insiders Guide by JR Ward.   Cute but I need more BDB!

Not positive what I'm reading next but most likely the second book in Courtney Milan's series.

I finished Goodnight Tweetheart by Teresa Medeiros and really enjoyed it,  Yesterday I read Linger by Maya Banks which has the short stories - Songbird and another I can't remember -oops!  I really liked that also.  I am actually caught up with library reading and will start working on the pile of stand alones on my bedside table.

I love this thread and have gotten so many great ideas for books.  Thanks everyone for contributing!

I'm enjoying Devil in Dress Blues by Karen Foley (harlequin blaze) but there's a strong suspense line going on that I'm hoping they'llj ust keep saying the bad things the bad guys are trying to do and not actually have any cliffhanger danger - just lotsa sex in the safehouse! wink

need to make a trip to the library today or tomorrow - have some books due tomorrow. not sure there are any I want to check out though - that's a change! one I'd turn in I can't because I loaned it to coworker but am hoping the ohter copy due before mine gets returend and no one else requests a copy then I can renew it..right now there are 2 copies checked out and 1 person waiting! got lucky once and another copy returned so I could renew but I have another week on it regardless.

Over the weekend, I finished Rogue (Werecats, Bk 2) and Pride (Werecats, Bk 3) by Rachel Vincent. Loving this series. I've read a lot of reviews where people couldn't read these books because they didn't like Faythe, and yes, she can be selfish, childish and annoying at times, but the story (and her romance with Marc) sucks me right in. I'm waiting for the 5th book that I've ordered to get to me before I continue, though.

So in the meantime, I'm almost through with Desire for Three (Desire, Oklahoma, Bk 1) by Leah Brooke. I've definitely read better. The "big misunderstanding" was one of the most convoluted ones I've ever read.

I just finished Unclaimed by Courtney Milan and I'm positively swooning over Sir Mark!  What a fabulous book.  Don't let the "virgin hero" description turn you away....he is anything BUT!

I am currently reading a Harlequin Intrigue called "Keeoing Christmas" by B.J. Daniels.  I really love this author and I am glad that I started this book.  It's from Nov 2006 so i am going back and reading through Daniels backlist.  Thanks Lori (SugarandGrits) for the deal on these books!

Ooh - Sherri, that sounds good.  I've never read anything by Courtney Milan.

I haven't read anything since I finished re-reading Caine's Reckoning.  I'm thinking maybe in honor of Halloween I should pick up the latest Immortals book from Kresley Cole.  devil  If I can find it on my bookshelf.

Michelle, I would suggest reading them in order.  The first book is good too.  It's Unveiled.

Starting on Ballyrourke by Linda O'Brien next.

Thank you, Cyndi angry, as instead of reading the 3 swaps books and the library book staring at me from my shelves, I am now reading Found (Brides of the Kindred) by Evangeline Anderson! Of course I am loving it! cheeky I couldn't wait for this book and I know I will be up late just to finish it!!!

Willa, Claimed is really good.  It's very typical Evangeline Anderson (ie. the heroine protests a little toooooooo much), but it has some funny scenes and is a fun scifi erotica.  Since I read that story, Ive been waiting impatiently for each subsequent story to be released! LOL  So far Found is turning out to be really good, but I do so enjoy a tortured hero.

Just finished reading Found by Evangeline Anderson and I think it was the best of the bunch.  So good.  She has a way of writing where sometimes it will be silly and you think this is just a fun scifi erotica story, but then she will write some scenes that break your heart and I just found myself crying and trying not to sob.  Her intention was to write a 4 book series and all the books were leading up to this story with this hero and while it had the typica E.A. way of writing (I want to but I can't) in regards to the sex the hero and heroine were so likeable it made the book a great read.  However, she has decided to write 2 more stories and she introduced the characters that will be the leads in this book.  Not sure how well those will work, but we'll see.

I finished A Man Like Mac this afternoon.  It was wonderful - the story of an injured elite runner and her relationship with her coach, who has a spinal cord injury.  It's clear that the author did a ton of research and the story was touching and sweet and yet very real.

I started Simply Incredible this evening.  I laughed out loud during the first chapter - that has to be a good sign. :)

I finally read The Warlord Wants Forver and was bummed to not think it all that. :-( But at least I'm catching up with the series. Also going to catch up with the Lords of the Underworld series, which my ebook libraries have (Kresley Cole, alas, seems to be with a publisher that doesn't sell to libraries. Sniff.)

But next am going to start The Lady's Secret, a debut historical by Joanna Chambers -- I loved her chapter in "The Unfeasibly Tall Greek Billionaire's Blackmailed Martryr Complex Secretary Bride." (http://www.scribd.com/doc/5322451/The-Unfeasibly-Tall-Greek-Billionaire)

I'm reading 2 books that fit 2 of the RT challenges I'm doing this fall - Kissing Santa Claus by Kaufman/Shalvis/Dimon(I think!) and Miss Wonderful by Loretta Chase. I'm barely into either of them - one library book and one library ebook.

I finished Surrender My Love and it was a sweet little hardbacked. If you are looking for something light with just kissing in it, then you might like it. I started Anne Mallory's In Total Surrender....I already have some reservations...more to come.

Trying to clean up my TBR stack--it's massive--reading old Recency Romances so I can post them--just started Viscount Vagabond by Loretta Chance and an older Amelia Grey historical.  Hope to post them both before the end of the week!
