I'm going to start reading Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione. I'm in a reading funk and I hope this book gets me out of it.

I'm still reading a mystery--Defending Angels. The fact that I'm taking so long to read it is in no way a reflection on the book's merit. I've just not been able to read much lately. I'm also reading Patricia Briggs' short story in On The Prowl, as well as Vampire Kisses by Ellen Schreiber.

Well, I started Tall, Dark, and Texan by Jodi Thomas. I'm not sure what to do though :-( I'm liking this one and I knew when I started it that it was the latest in a series but I went ahead since I thought it was the series that was pretty l ong and had a lot of books oop and WL'd here...well turns out it's the 3rd in a series and I have the first 2..pretty sure the 1st one is out in the car an the other is proably at home. should I stop and pick up Texas Rain instead? or keep with this one? sigh..I'm liking it though! ETA: guess I'm gonna continue with this one! I dont' have the 2nd book yet but it's in the mail. I already know his 2 brothers are married so oh well! what's weird is the 1st book, Texas Rain, is one I've had a while but thought was an independent book but was wanting to read it anyways! I bought this one new (shame on me!) so wanted to read it since I just had to have it!

I'm hoping to go by a ubs up here w here my parents live..passed one the other night riding around in the car with them but it was closed. I think Thomas is from this area so I was thinking she might be easier to find up here..the ubs where I live has decided she's a 'rare and expensive' author..she now checks ebay/amazon/half.com before putting anything on the shelf then goes on and on to me like I should be happy about it! so I guess the leftover 'crap' is what she puts on the shelves?! :-) oh well I've gotten plenty from there but can't help but sulk that she's out of Jodi Thomas now that I've finally succumbed to all the talk about her and decided to get her stuff!

I just spent all day finishing (3 books) a young adult series, Remnants. I really need to go clean my kitchen and start some Christmas cookies....I hope to read more later. I had to get those books done with since they are from the library.  I'll go back to my Duke book in a while.

Shari, how do you like Vampire Kisses?  I have that one on the way.

Anne

I finished Mary Balogh's A Summer to Remember.  I really, really liked it.  It was a fresh story line (to me at least) and Balogh is an author I definitely will try again.  Only problem I had was the word bulk was used constantly to refer to the 2 pregnant women in the book.  ("Despite her bulk," "her obvious bulk") It was used often enough that I started thinking "bulk" is a weird word.  Ya know how when you suddenly hear the same word over and over, it starts sounding weird?  This happens to me a lot; hopefully I'm not the only one. :)

Started A Perfect Hero by Samantha James.  Its the 3rd in the trilogy that I started last week.

Off topic: I brought 27 books with me to read this next week and 1/2 while I'm on vacation.  I have no idea why I brought that many. I just don't think I'll be that bored.  :p

A Summer to Remember was my first favorite Balogh. You have some great reading ahead of you now. :-)

I started Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr.

I started Crosswinds by Cindy Holby this morning and just finished it lol! Nothing like getting absolutely nothing done today :)  I really liked it, I loved the hero, Ty. Now I'm gonna continue with the series and start Windall, hopefully this one is just as good!

Ink Exchange was pretty good, but Wicked Lovely was better.

I finished Pleasure Unbound and it was great. I highly recommend it for PNR lovers. I'm going to start reading Dream Shadow by Mary Wine.

I just finished Tall, Dark, and Texan by Jodi Thomas and loved it! Not even a lot of sex but I liked it similar to how I felt after reading Debbie Macomber's Morning Comes Softly. I'll have to go back and read Texas Rain then Texas Princess after the holidays when I get back home and can pick up my mail. It just went out so probably won't be there for a while anyways. I really liked this story...even had kids in it and no really descriptive sex..in fact I don't think they ever completely did the deed so to speak but were getting ready to at the very end I think..just a nice story and parts were kinda funny..not the silly humor I usually like but just a good romance..what a hunk..

Has anyone read A Christmas Knight? I think it's by Christina Skye? I picked it up a while back at ubs and since it's that time of year was thinking about reading it this week.

Sherri, thanks for the info on Touched by Love...I'm still going to read it, but not in a huge hurry now, lol! Touch of Texas by Tracy Garrett was pretty good...I do wonder if they're connected since they both have Touch in the title.

I'm currently reading Echoes in the Mist by Andrea Kane it's really good so far, but I'm getting to a point where it would be nice if she would tell the readers what really happened...all the mystery is getting tediuos, LOL!

I'm a little over half way finished with Sin by Sharon Page.  So far I'm really enjoying it - it's quite a ride :)

I read A Rake's Guide To Pleasure by Victoria Dahl over the weekend.  I liked it - it was unique and interesting.  It got fairly annoying in the last few chapters though.  The heroine is a pill:P  That said, I ordered To Tempt A Scotsman, so I must have enjoyed it.

I couldn't hold off and started Texas Rain by Jodi Thomas(the 1st book in the series I read the 3rd book in yesterday!) It's good too! I love this family! I had to make myself turn out the light or I wouldn't have gotten any sleep - still got over halfway through it though! Hopefully I can finish it up tonight.

I know that I must be the only one in this forum that has not read Outlander by Gabaldon and I am almost finished.  It is as good as everyone has said.  We took several days off last week and I read the four books in the Virgin River series and like everyone, I did not want it to end.  I will now have to get the next in the Outlander books and have already put the next three Virgin River on WL.

I finished When the Duke Returns :by: Eloisa James.

It was good, I found myself annoyed by all the sections devoted to Jemma but then it came together in the end. I'll be reading her story when it comes out, but the one I am really looking forward to is Villiers' story which I assume will be the one after Jemma's.

I plan to read more of Nauti Nights today.

Dragon Actually by G.A. Aiken was lots of fun.  it's going on the keeper shelf, at least for a while.  i'd call this fantasy romance with the dragons and chainmail, but it's listed as paranormal.

I was out at Wal-Mart (I know, I know) and picked up Holiday With A Vampire 2, a Harlequin Nocturne with two stories by Merline Lovelace and Lori Devoti. I also picked up Christmas Wishes, Mistletoe Kisses by Fiona Harper. I've already started both (I've put aside my other reading so I can read these before Christmas) and so far both are really good. It's been a while since I've read a romance- especially a Harlequin- so they're really "refreshing", if that makes any sense. :)

Eileen - I read the description of the other Touch book and can't recall those two names in the one I read, so I don't think they are related.  And you may like it.  I just felt it was "same ole, same ole" and then of course the heroine was TSTL. LOL

I'm almost done with My Dearest Enemy by Connie Brockway and man, this is a great book.  I can't really say any one thing about it that stands out - its just one of those books you want to call in sick so you can see what happens next.  ;-)

I just finished Cheyenne Amber by Catherine Anderson and LOVED it.  It has made my keeper shelf.  The heroine would get on my nerves sometimes.  But the hero was wonderful.  OH MY!!  He was great.

What to read next??

I have read surprisingly little, considering that I've been iced/snowed in for the past week!  I read a couple of non-fiction books by Ruth Reichl, then finished Nauti Dreams.  It was actually ok, and I'm glad, since I didn't really like the first two.  Someday in the future, when the possibility for getting out of the darned driveway exists for me again, I'll offer it up on the WL thread.  I was going to start Trial by Fire by Jo Davis, but then remembered that I had started but not finished Viking Unchained, so started back on that one.  This is a strange book.  The writing style is strange, the whole time-travel thing is strange, and for me to say that is really something, because I read a lot of time-travel romances.  At this point, I'm waffling on whether I'll finish it- it's not really doing much for me.  I'm actually thinking about maybe getting back into A Breath of Snow and Ashes, which I put away several months ago.  I read all of the Outlander books straight through in a row, and kind of hit the wall a couple chapters into ABOSAA, so maybe it's been long enough now.

I am reading Quantum Gravity, book 2:  Selling Out, by Justina Robson.    It's not technically a romance.  Science Fiction.   The first one was good.
