I have less than 100 pages to go in Wicked Pleasure by Lora Leigh..I'm all out of order in this series but oh well! I really like Forbidden Pleasure and have re-read and um, re-skimmed that one, but I needed a title with Wicked to complete the RT challenge that ends Dec 31. I'm liking it pretty well and yes I'm actually reading it cover to cover and not just skimming through for the nookie..well ok once I marked my place and did a quicker skim ahead but went back to where I left off and read!

not sure what I'l read next but leaning towards Behind Closed Doors or maybe a library book

I always seem to start books on Sat. night and finish them on Sunday...don't know why that is....

Read Double the Heat by Lori Foster, Deirdre Martin, Elizabeth Bevarly and Christie Ridgway.  The Deirdre Martin story was the best, simply because it continued her NY Blades hockey series.  I wish this story was a full length novel though; it would have been a bit more satisfying.  The Lori Foster story continued of her Winston stories, which I have never read.  It was okay but I felt a bit lost.  The last two stories were not that great.  In fact, the Elizabeth Bevarly story was just plain yuk!  The heroine was "talking" to the reader.  She was an idiot who kept wanting reassurance that she wasn't stupid.  (She didn't know how to pack a suitcase for vacation, only business.  So she threw it down the stairs and thought "oh well!")  It was not done well and I had to jump ahead to the Christine Ridgway story, which was okay at best.

Next is McKettrick's Luck by Linda Lael Miller.  This book series was brought up in an earlier forum and it made me want to read it.

I'm reading Heat Stroke (Weather Warden, Bk 2) :: Rachel Caine now and it's really interesting. I'm also reading Beware a Scot's Revenge (School for Heiresses, Bk 3) :: Sabrina Jeffries  but I really hated the last one so it's been hard to get into this one. I usually really enjoy SJ's but that book was just sooooo bad.

I fnished Wicked Pleasure by Lora Leigh..gotta look up the order of this series 'cause I know I'm out of order..I realized I'd missed this one because Only Pleasure had the other twin, Chase, so I put it aside, ordered this one, then both have sat in mt tbr for probably over a year or c lose to it. I also missed Courtney and Ian's story though some are probably on ebook only or high-dollar used.

someone on RT posted about Lisa Marie Rice having a new paperback - A Fine Specimen I think is the title - out in paperback now but I haven't seen it anywhere but Ellora's Cave website and they're usually high on shipping. Guess I'll wait and see if amazon or bookdepository gets it in stock. or Borders..forgot about Borders.

Susanna - The first seven books in Lora Leigh's Bound Hearts series were printed in duologies... Here's your order, book names, and ISBNs.

  1. Surrender - Cole and Tess - Originally printed in Ties That Bind duology (ISBN 9781843606192) - This is the one that costs the big bucks on eBay. You can get the eBook from Ellora's Cave for less than $5. It's a fairly short story so that e-reading it isn't too painful. OR it has been re-issued in the Surrender to Fire duology (ISBN 9781419959301).

Submission / Seduction (ISBN 9781843609452) contains
    2. Submission - James and Ella
    3. Seduction - Jesse and Terrie

    Wicked Sacrifice (ISBN 9781419953965) contains
    4. Wicked Intent - Lucian, Dev, and Tally
    5. Sacrifice - Jared and Kimberly

    Shameless Embraces (ISBN 9781419954658) contains
    6. Embraced - Sax and Marey
    7. Shameless - Ian and Courtney

    8. Forbidden Pleasure (ISBN 9780312368715) - Mac, Keiley, and Jethro

    9. Wicked Pleasure (ISBN 9780312368722) - Cam and Jaci

    10. Only Pleasure (ISBN 9780312368739) - Chase and Kia

    11. Guilty Pleasure (ISBN 9780312541866) - Khalid and Marty - Due out January 5!

Yeah, they all have ridiculously long WL queues, but are all available from Ellora's Cave in e-book form for $5 to $6 each.

thanks Colleen! I think I have the first 2 somewhere..maybe ebook..I still 'need' Wicked Sacrifice and Shameless Embraces and of course the new one! I thought she switched from Ellora's Cave starting with Forbidden Pleasure..it has a different kinda of cover on it...and so far is my favorite. I think it was one of my first Lora Leigh books and the first 3-some!

I started He's No Prince Charming by LuAnn McLane..library book. so far it's cute! silly/funny..my kind of read and so far low-drama which is definitely my kind of read though I'm sure there will be some misunderstandings sooner or later like in Redneck Cinderella. but I"m about 1/3 through it and plan on reading some more of it tonight..maybe stay up and finish it since I'm not sleepy but I have a 4 hour drive ahead of me tomorrow so hope I can get some sleep.

I finished He's No Prince Charming by LuAnn McLane. good quick read..no drama stuff going on...funny though the woman's accident-proneness was almost too much but I was in the mood for something light. a good side romance in this one as well.

not sure what I'll read next but doubt I'll start anything til I get back home..esp since all my other books are out in the car and it's 35 degrees outside!

I finished Seduce Me by Anne Rainey.  4 stars.  The first story was definitely better though.   I also just read a short ebook by Teresa J. Reasor called To Capture A Highlanders Heart.  Not bad but I wished it had been longer.

I dnf'd two ebooks I tried to read this morning: Just Between Friends  by Dakota Trace and Holiday Affair by Yvette Hines.  The first one sort of icked me out and the second one just wasn't holding my interest.

Now I'm reading an ebook called The Seduction of Evelyn Hyde by Anne Hope.  So far its interesting.  I've been trying to go through some of these ebooks I've had forever and get them read.

Oooh, Michelle, I loved Dirty! Megan Hart gets me every time.

I started to read Lori Foster's Say No to Joe? then realized it has characters from another series, The Winston Brothers, so picked that one up instead because I'm so anal about reading books in order. So far, typical LF fluff....predictable, yet enjoyable.

I agree Dirty is one of my favorite books. I reread it so many times.  I am reading Robyn Carr Forbidden Falls. This books feels cheaper than her other books and thinner. I have to say I am having a hard time falling into the Virgin River World this time.

Going to start on Soul Deep by Lora Leigh later on today.

Almost done with Marrying the Captain by Carla Kelly, which is very sweet. I thought it was a bit dull at the outset, but perservered and it has picked up. Don't think it will be a kepper, though.

I finished The Cowboy and it was a terrible anthology. I started When Darkness Comes by Alexandra Ivy.

I finished Soul Deep by Lora Leigh this morning.  Wow.  Very good.  One of the better Breed books.  Now I want to re-read Coyote's Mate.  Too bad I traded it.

Not sure what I'm reading next.

Over the past few days I've read:

HE'S NO PRINCE CHARMING by LuAnn McLane  It was silly but entertaining.

DOUBLE THE HEAT anthology  I thought it was just ok. Definitely not worth $15.

Today I'm in the middle of  GOTCHA! by Christie Craig. I'm enjoying it so far.

I'm reading a really old sci fi romance! 1989 Jayne Ann Krentz, Shield's Lady. Part of a trilogy of which I have read the others, still have one of them in fact, so I must have really liked it.  I hope I'll like this one too!

Also reading The Mane Attraction by Shelly Laurenston, buts on my ereader so there are certain places I won't take that ;)

I finished Dirty by Megan Hart.  Wow.  Just... wow.

Very powerful, emotional book.  I loved the story, I loved, loved, LOVED Dan - he was just so perfect for Elle.  I had a really hard time liking Elle, though.  I understood her, I sympathized with her, and I believed her, but I didn't really LIKE her, if that makes sense.  This was my first book by Megan Hart.  I have a few more on my WL and I think I'll keep them there.  lol

I got Forbidden Falls in the mail so I ended up rereading the first three Virgin River Books and finally reading the second trilogy plus Forbidden Falls.  So a major Robyn Carr glom.  Very enjoyable.  So enjoyable I ended up ordering the three Grace Valley books.

I also read Soulless by Gail Carriger.  That was certainly a change of pace.  Really looking forward to her next book.

Now I am reading See Jane Score by Rachel Gibson.  It's been on my TBR for forever.  I am enjoying it also.
