Yesterday I read The Sweetest Thing by Jill Shalvis. It's the second in the Lucky Harbor series. Nothing fabulous, but good.

Now I'm reading Immortal Rider by Larissa Ione. Also the second in the series. Needs to be mailed.

Finished up KMM's To Tame a Highland Warrior and liked it much better than the first one. I am sad though that KMM to date never wrote a story for Quinn... :-( . I also finished Lady X's Cowboy by Zoe Archer which I liked as well. I also finished Suzanne Enoch's Sin and Sensibility and really liked. So far my 2013 reading year has kicked off with a bang...even though I have been sick as a dog.

Keri it's been a while since I read that series - don't remember Quinn.

I fnished Kristen Ashley's Law Man and am now on Motorcycle Man. are all her ebooks similar? I think vance from wild man was in one of the other series. I was really looking forward to Law Man and overall liked it but I was thikning he got a dud heroine and he was really bossy even in the little things nad I wish they' gotten time for just each other instead of the kids immediately being a big part of the the story. Motorcycle Man I like - at least the jerky bossy hero is MAN! :-) I think the best heroine fo rme has been Tess and her hero was the worst for me! can't decide on fave hero but a commando is pretty far ahead in my book...

Happy New Year!  Hope everyone made it through safe and sound.

So far I've DNF'd Must Love Dogs by Claire Cook.   Read and like All's Fair by Suzie Quint (novella length).  And now I'm reading The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires by Molly Harper, which is so far pretty good.

I finished Motorcycle Man and LOVED IT!  There were times I really disliked Tack (despite him being sexy as hell), and Tyra didn't always do it for me either, but I loved the whole story.

I have jury duty tomorrow so I'm taking A Night Like This (Smythe-Smith Quartet, Bk 2) :: Julia Quinn, hopefully it makes the day go faster. frown

I'm still reading Motorcycle Man - Tack has some harsh words and overall I can understand Tyra's actions - attracted to the man's wildness and in love with his softer side but scared of the wilder side outside of the sex. her entire background is conservative and so far from wild it's hard for her to relax with the biker lifestyle in general.

anyone read any from her other series? I bought 1 each from 2 other series to try but think I got the last book in 1 series- stupid amazon put sthe same date on some in a series so I have to go to her website to see where it falls in the lineup. from her website the description of Dream Man series is most up my alley - may try rock chick and colorado...

Yes, Suzanna he was a really great guy...he earned that HEA! KA's book are hits and misses for me. Her lack of editing drives me insane and tends to drain my enjoyment of her books. I have read 3 of her books and all three have been 3 stars. Although I loved Motorcycle Man, Tacks and the heroine's actions got on my nerves. I just finished JA's The Seduction of Elliot McBride...loved it. Not as much as Ian's and Hart's books, but still a very strong showing. Loved the preview of Daniel's book...can't wait for that one!

Happy new year everyone- I got so busy during the holidays that I had pretty much no time to read!  I did manage to get through the Fools Gold Christmas book, whatever that one is called, I forget.  It was decent.  I think that's the only book I read in all of December!  I recently started A Cottage by the Sea by Ciji Ware, which Goodreads says is similar to Susanna Kearsley and if I like her books I should like this one, so we'll see- I'm only a couple of chapters in.

Now I feel like rereading all the KMM Highlander books- I don't even remember those characters names!  It has been a few years since I read them.  I read them all back to back, and I remember reading one on a bus on the way to and from a field trip when my son was in 5th grade, and he's a junior in HS now.  So it's been awhile!  Might have to get a few of them for my keeper shelf- there are at least a couple I'd like to reread.

I just finished up Envy by JR Ward. Loved it! That series is awesome! Still reading Immortal Rider.

I read KA's Colorado Mountain Man series and really liked it alot! My favorite was Breathe, which was the last one but the first one I read. Although, I must say that Sweet Dreams was pretty awesome too. I've also read the first two Rock Chick books and Knight, of which I think I liked Knight the best. I thnk the Rock Chick books are more action with some romance. The CM series is more romance, with a suspense element thrown in. That's my take on them anyway.

I just can't decide what to read next. I read Heaven and Hell by Kristin Ashley and really liked it. I have a lot of good ones in my TBR but none of them appeal. I really want a long, angst-y read but can't decide on one. Any suggestions? Has anyone read Love Unscripted?

thanks Tonya- Breathe ws the first one I downloaded but then got the other 3 'just in case' and the first rock chicks - almost got Knight but wasn't sure..thinking the rock chicks might be too silly/action and i like the romance.

Lesliey I don't rememberall the characters either but I remember there being a really  nice guy who deserved a HEA who didn't get one then I forgot about him..andhis name..but DO remember at the time thinking what a nice guy she just wasn't in love with him.

just finished motorcycle man but haven't started another book yet. thinking taking a break and reading a love inspired that should have downloaded..one of my favorite authors in that line! :-) also have several kristen ashley ebooks and thinking I may read out of order too and start with Breathe - or download Knight and read that one out of order!

I've read KA's Dream Man series, the Rock Chick Series, the Colorado Mountain Series, and now I'm on the third book of the Burg series.  I love them all, but the Rock Chick series is my least favorite.  So far, two of the Burg series are high school sweetheart reunions, and I've enjoyed them.  I love that she writes H's who really seem to deserve their HEA.

The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires by Molly Harper was good.  Her usual trademark humor really made the book.   I'm back on third shift so I should get more reading done - usually we're very quiet.   I've decided to do a band-aid purge of my keeper shelf on my next off day.  Time for the old to be passed on to willing hands.  LOL

I've read a few lately, surprising lol

Not His Kiss to Take by Finn Marlowe, a m/m. I liked it, it was...different lol I loved one of the men though, I would love to read more with him.

Last Kiss Goodbye by Gena Showalter. I love her, and this story had so much potential. I really liked a lot of it, but it was just missing things that are typical Showalter.

Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi (YA). I really liked this one, I want the next one now!

Now I am reading Heart of Brass by Kate Cross. Not far enough into it to know how I feel yet.

I decided to download Knight and start that! not too far into it but like it so far! :-)

eta: yowza! that was one hot book not sure I liked the couple though- the hero was into some illegal stuff and demanding to be called 'daddy' during the sex was a turnoff to me but the sex was defnitely hot. I think I preferred Hawk and Kane though :-)

Ummm yeah Susanna, that whole "Daddy" bit was a little off-putting. I substituted a different word every time I read it. It just made me cringe. Lol. Definitely different. And while not my favorite, I did like it.

Almost done with Immortal Rider. It's not great, but really pretty good. I'm really looking forward to the next one, Than's story.

I had mixed feelings on Knight. I liked it but the hero was definitely different. I've hesitated on reading Creed but I really don't know why.

I decided to read Destiny's Shift by Carly Fall. I've enjoyed her Six Saviors series, they're different and I'm always up for stories about sexy aliens :)

Taking a small break from romance and reading Karina Halle's Darkhouse and so far it has been creepy and good. I am dying to figure out who or what Dex is, besides sexy. :-) I did finish MJP's Petals In the Storm and I liked it, but can't wait to read Robin's book. I found him pretty intriguing.

Tonya I liked it too but even subbing a different word as I read it it still bothered me a lot. also not wild about the 'f' word used with Jesus' name - I mean I don't expect squeaky clean and goodness knows my language sucks but swear words with God, Christ and Jesus are used  a LOT in her stories. dunno. I"ll likely keep reading but Knight I'm really mixed on - his attitude about marriage and how controlling he was - the fact that she was hunky dory with it made it ok I guess but I may hold off on Creed LOL and go to her other series - Coilorado or something.... right now I made a huge switch and went to a love inspired byone of my fave authors LOL! big change...

I read The Gamble (Colorado Mountain Men) and really loved it.  Max was a terrific hero.

Unfortunately I have to take a break from my Kristen Ashley glom and read a book I need to review. lol   That Scandalous Summer by Meredith Duran (a NTM author) is up next.
