I finished up The Road Home and it was very very good.  Its a modern day retelling of the story of Ruth from the Bible.  Enjoyed it.  Now I'm reading Golden Days by Mary Connealy.  (Fedora, I'll let you know if this is as good as the other two I sent you.)

I'm reading Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh but it's staring out really slow. If that doesn't pan out soon, I think I'm going to try Tall Chief by Dinah Mccall.

Just finished Stranger In My Arms by Lisa Kleypas. Did not care too much for the heroine- can you say c**ktease? But I enjoyed Sommersby and this was a variation with an HEA, although too many character inconsistencies to make it really good, imo.

I'm reading two books.  McKetterick's Luck by Linda Lael Miller and Sweet Wind, Wild Wind by Elizabeth Lowell.  Both are decent reads so far.

I've been reading YA books this past week.  I finished  I Was a Teenage Popsicle by Bev Katz Rosenbaum and Braced 2 Bite by Serena Robar.  They were both good, but had kind of whiny characters.

I am now reading High School Bites by Liza Conrad and it's very good.  The book is about Dracula and has a lot of information about Bram Stoker and his book.  It's interesting.

Up next will probably be another YA book, but maybe I will read Dragon Actually since I've heard many good reviews about it.

I'm reading Ways to Be Wicked by Julie Anne Long.  I'm not liking it as much as I did the other two in this trilogy, but still a worthwhile read.

I am reading Julia London's Highlander books. I am on the 3rd now.  They are good but nothing to rave about.

I started Second Chance Pass by Robyn Carr last night but my lab was wanting attention and I was tired and uninterested in just about everything it seems so only got about 80-90 pages into it. I'll probably read it later on today or take it to work with me on night shift. we've gotten extra work to fill in the slow times now :-( so I have to be careful that I take enough time to finish that up though I'll probably shift it towards the end of the shift so I'm working on it when the boss is there to see and read some of the other part of the shift. I may have to switch books though 'cause I sorta get involved in the storyline on these virgin river books and get too grouchy when I'm interrupted...so may switch to this cute love inspired someone recommended or the 3rd vegas vampires book by erin mccarthy - bled dry..those are good but there are only a few tense places there to get involved/cranky in!

Kiss of a Demon King- Wow!  If you like lots of erotic with your paranormal and like Kresley Cole this is a really good book.  I loved Dark Desires After Dusk, and so far I like this as much or more.

I have an exam tomorrow, but I may have to study fast, so I can finish this one.

just finished AT THE BRIDE HUNT BALL by olivia parker. it got a low grade from AAR but all other forums said that it was great so I decided to give it a try since last yr seemed to be the year of the debut author.

there are quite a few reviews on AAR where the grade was way too low.

This is not one of them. It was pretty mediocre and average. However, its light and fluffy and an Avon book and I am sure that it fits right in with the Kathryn Caskies there

Thanks, Sherri!  I'll be waiting to hear what you think :)

I finished Jill Shalvis's White Heat yesterday--that was good.  I've got Blue Flame, but haven't started it yet.

I'm still working on Wed Under Western Skies, the first story pretty much sucks lol! So I'm gonna skim the last few pages of it and put the book to the side and start Top of her Game by Emma Holly, hopefully that's better!

I've been too sick to concentrate on Lord Easterbrook, so am just reading categories. At least I'm going through books quickly. But I had better feel better tomorrow, because Dark of Night is waiting for me at the library!

Well I finished Golden Days by Mary Connealy.  I loved it.  Its semi-heavy on the religion, an inspirational like her other two Petticoat books I read, but if that doesn't put you off I recommend it!  Its set in Alaska during the gold rush days but not in a town...its set out in the wild.  I loved the heroine - part Russian, part native Alaskan.  The hero started out kind of quiet and at first I thought someone else in the story was to be her eventual love interest, but he came to the forefront and really made it a good read.

Now I"m reading Lara Adrian's Veil of Midnight and loving it!

I finished and loved Dark Needs at Night's Edge by Kresley Cole and now I think I'll read Guilty Pleasures by Laura Lee Guhrke. I also recently read The Bride and the Beast by Theresa Medieros but didn't think too much of it. It started out good but really started to drag.

well I've been trying to stay awake so I can sleep during the day tomorrow for working night shift. I finished Second Chance Pass by Robyn Carr and liked it...I love this entire series..even with all the drama going on! yeah, unusual for me but oh well! I also grabbed the paperback of the Dark Highlander by KMM and finished that one up..was about halfway on the audio going by 'parts' but was a bit past the halfway mark in the book so decided to just finish it! this one was definiitely 'dark'..at least the title fits. This guy had 13 demons or whatever trying to take him over and I still don't understand how it all came about in the end but oh well so long as it did!

not sure what I'll start next..was planning on the Bled Dry(vegas vampires) but  not sure..found the other Evie book by Beth Ciotta and also was looking over the 1st books in 2 series - one by Jean Johnson and the other by  Alysson James I think is the name..both sound good...decisions decisions decisions.now ya'll talking 'bout Kresley Cole makes me want to start that series - I got 5 towards the end of last year and added the 6th to me my wl which give sme PLENTY of time to read the other 5..think I'm in the 200's or 300's on that one LOL!

Hope you feel better, WIlla!

Just finished The Bridal Season by Connie Brockway, which turned out to be my  fav from this author.  I loved, loved the heroine in this book... just thinking about this book makes me smile.  A++++

I've been trying to get into A Notorious Proposition by Adele Ashworth for the  last TWO weeks.  I literally picked this book up, read a couple of  pages, put it aside to grab another book because it was just dry, dull reading.   Then grab it again when I finished the other book.....I kid you not, I picked this book up like 7 times.  Finally, after getting to page 100 I am gonna ditch it.  This book had zero character development, BORING plot line... really, this is one of those books, where you feel your eye balls moving over the sentences but nothing gets processed in your head because your mind starts to wander lol..... Ugh, I had such high hopes for it too.....

Not sure what I want to read next...

Almost finished with Ways to Be Wicked by Julie Anne Long.  It definitely picked up 1/2-way through and I'm really enjoying it!  Next up will be Blame It On Paris by Jennifer Greene.  New author to me - hopefully I'll like it!

I started River Devil last week but had no time on the weekend to read.  At this point, I can't even remember what I did read of it, so I might have to start over.  I really liked Irish Devil and Northern Devil, but I'm having trouble getting into this one for some reason.  I think maybe I'm not in the right mood for a historical.  I'm waiting on the 2nd book of Susan Wiggs' Lakeshore series to arrive, so maybe I ought to read that when it gets here and come back to River Devil.

I just finished The Mane Attraction by Shelly Laurenston - it was great, as expected.  I'm really looking forward to reading "Go Fetch" later on this month when it comes out.  Now I'm reading Savage Legacy by Lora Leigh.  I'm only at the beginning, but it seems good so far.  Unfortunately, this is part of a series and I haven't read any of the others, so hopefully it doesn't matter too much.  I usually like to get a whole series and *then* read it, but oh well!

I finished reading  Veil of Midnight by Lara Adrian.  Let me preface what I'm about to review by saying I had loved her series up until this point.  I wasn't crazy about Tegan's story but he kind of redeemed himself to me in Rio's story.  Veil is Nikolai's story.  I was so anxious to read this...and I ended up very disappointed.  I wanted to like it.  All the elements were there - until they threw in a kid.  Not even a baby, which I could have handled, but a kid.  Ruined it for me - I hate kid books.  Niko's personality changed with the kid.  The kid was more important to the heroine than the hero.  The kid disrupted a major "intel" for the group.  Ruined it for me.

So this one won't be going on my keeper shelf with the others, unfortunately.
