Finished Sherry Thomas's Beguiling the Beauty and to tell the truth it wasn't a fav of mine. I gave it 3 stars and my rambling review is up on GRs.

Too bad, Keri. I guess no writer can hit a home run every time.

I started an old Judith Arnold called The Marriage Bed - was interested because a character has the kind of leukemia my best friend had. Is very good so far. The main characters are much older than usual in a romance, but a lot is flashbacks.

well I'm not reading 4 books LOL - was looking for something and found an older overbearing hero fave I wanted to re-read to complete the RT challenge I'm doing! Man With a Past by JAK. also have Soulless by Gail Carriger, Judgment in Death by JD Robb, and something else on the bedside table I'm reading as well. will probably focus on the JAK book to finish the challenge then get back to one of the others. oh never mind 3 - The River Knows was Amanda quick but this other one will fit the same challenge so I may or may not finish it this go'round

I'm almost finished Bretton's paranormal mystery CASTING SPELLS and it's absolutely charming, definitely has some romance in it, and the paranormal is funny and quirky. It's an ebook and due back to the library in 2 days but I hope to finish it toda.

It's gorgeous here today, 80s with very low humidity, and I'm feeling a bit on the lazy side, reading being the most ambitious thing I've done all day.

I'm reading Deliver Me from Darkness by Tes Hilaire. It's a book I found recommended on Pinterest, one of several I've found.

I finished my very first cozy...Murder a' la Mode. I enjoyed it, it was a quick, fun read. Started another cozy, A Brisket, A Casket. Not very far into it but its cute so far.

Also getting ready to start The Last Song by Sparks.

Finished Jurassic Park last night. It was awesome! Makes me want to go and watch the movies again and not skip the boring parts hehe. Maybe I'll take them to the beach with me next weekend.

Now to see if I can finish anything else, which I doubt because of today's plans. 8th grade graduation tonight. Tomorrow I will receive DEADLINE by Mira Grant, which I am dying to read. (ok that was a lame joke, but it's a zombie book). Kindergarten graduation will interfere with my zombie-thon! Thursday we are leaving for Ocean City MD, so hope to get lots of reading done in the car!

Missy, it came up as a recommendation when I was searching for something else. The reviews were great, and it sounded really good. I will let you know what I think... and I just "friended" you. cheeky Seems like we have very similar tastes! (it says 45% - lol)

Started Amanda Quick's Crystal Gardens and it is her usual Arcane tried and true formula, but for some reason I still love the books.

I'm still on Taking a Shot by Jaci Burton.  It's ok, very hot, but I am not connecting with this heroine as well as the previous books.  Well, I should say the first one anyway- I didn't like Liz going into the 2nd one at all and it took awhile for me to warm up to her.  Jenna is nice enough, I just don't get the blanket prejudice toward all althletes, and it seems like a weak premise for her and Ty not to get together.  It is at least as hot as the other two, but I have to say, the author really needs to find something else for her heroines to say in the throes of passion besides "that's going to make me come".  I remember that one being repeated in the first book, and now again, it seems to be a favorite of this heroine too.  Blah blah blah, try something new and different already.

Still reading the Guns and Roses anthology.  Except for one book which I didn't like for personal reasons, this has been an awesome anthology. All have been B+ or better stories.

Susanna, don't go buy it. Wait for it at the library. It was ok, but I would have been angry if I paid hard backed price for it. There just wasn't much substance to it and I think she has a fill in the blank book template on her pc. I still am going to read these, I just wished they had substance like her old ones used to.

Going to start JR Ward's Envy, just got it in today and I have no will power.

I tried out Jasmine Haynes What Happens After Dark, it was a quick DNF for me, the heroine was all kinds of messed up, mentally and emotionally.

Off to Allyson James' Shadow Walker.  I know the next one in the series is supposed to be out this spring, but I can't find it anywhere.  Anyone know the details?
