still reading the library ebook A Home by the Sea by Christina Skye. It's different. Not much of a romance - it sort of rambles and introduces stuff that I think will be part of the plot but doesn't seem to be. the hero and heroine barely meet then she ends up back in oregon(started in dc) taking care of her grandfather and his veterinary clinic/rescue and jumps from one thing to another - part suggests something criminal going on then nothing. strangely it's been fairly relaxing esp after all the violence in the carpathian book

also downloaded the 2nd carpathian book from the library - wanna see how it goes..if its's only so -so  may skip to Gregori's story and the Chrsitmas one and call it done..ended up liking the other one enough I guess but didn't like all of it that's for sure!

eta: someone posted codes for smashwords over in the ebook thread - it seems overwhelming trying to find a good author to try - any recommendations for there and these other places like wild rose press and new concepts publishing, etc? still finding my way around the ebook world

Finished Stephanie Lauren's A Gentleman's Honor and I liked it so much, I am going to go pick up the first book in the Bastion series. I also finished Anne Stuart's Nightfall and I would have loved it if the ending hadn't been so short. She is the mistress of writing the Anti Hero and Richard was indeed that. She played us like a fiddle with him. I also read Teresa Mederios's The Pleasure of your Kiss and the Temptation of your Touch and I really loved them both. Currently reading off romance and that is James Rollin's The Eye of God, but that is ok, I get my Painter Crowe and Grey Pierce fix. Oh alright!!! I get some crazy Kowalski too.

I've tried a few books from Wild Rose and wasn't impressed by their quality.

Currently (finally!) reading Not Proper Enough by Carolyn Jewel. (The author gave it to me when I bitched about the price, can you believe it? It pays to use social media!) I love this trope -- he loves her, she hates him.

finished A Home by the Sea - not sure what to think! this book hit just about everything and stuff never developed in  some areas and kept branching out...started off in washington dc, reporter/photographer took her pic because her fiance who had died was a big-time government guy who was cheating ..she wanted to tell hero herself but nothing ever came of it! suddently she' back in oregon with her grandfather trying to run his vet clinic and build a new business with her 2 friends - each friend has issues and one is married to a soldier and preggers..add in other tangents...and 90% into the book everything started happening ..I swear I was wating for a hidden baby to show up after all the other stuff going on - even had knitting tossed in! I have to say in spite of this being a nutty read I enjoyed the relaxation of reading it and added the 2ndebook  book to my queue at the library...not so much drama so it relaxed me :-)

now I'm back to the 2nd carpathian book...alerady started off with torture so oh well...

I finished both Wreck Me and Restore Me by J.L. Mac. Pretty good, but I dunno when that last one's coming! Or what I hope will be the last one.

Now reading Safe Word by Teresa Mummert. I'm about 30% in and so far its nothing like I thought it would be, but still very good.

Safe Word was excellent, although, yeah it wasn't anything like I expected.

Now going to read another Teresa Mummert, The Note....which I dunno when she retitled it but on my Kindle its still called The Suicide Note. LOL

I'm reading Rescue My Heart (Animal Magnetism, Bk 3) by Jill Shalvis. Slow opening, but it's starting to pique my interest.

finished the 2nd carpathian book - it was ok but TONS of torture and violence esp the beginning. sheesh. and it's kinda creepy with a baby in the womb already being claimed as a lifemate by an adult carpathian. just started romeo, romeo for a change of pace and so far so good though I'm only about 2% in the book! needed a break from reading. liking the kindle pw - can read with the light off but doesn't glare like the ipad.

Read A Lady Chosen by Stephanie Laurens, really liking this series, wanting to gorge on it, but have regretted doing that in the past, so I will hold off on the next.

I finished Killing Sarai. While I was reading it I didn't think I liked it very much, but now that I've reflected on it some, I realize it was a really good book. I can't wait for the next one.

Now I'm reading Captive in the Dark by CJ Roberts.

I've been reading the Yellowstone series by Peggy L Henderson.  Just finished Yellowstone Awakening (#3) and it was good but I hated the heroine.  Now reading the 4th book.

What a twisted-ly, good book Captive in the Dark was. Talk about dark romance. After reading this one and the Redmerski one I think I need something light and fluffy before starting Seduced in the Dark.

liking romeo, romeo so far - loved it when he asked her if she wanted a salad pizze and she asked what that was and he said no cheese just veggies and she asked why would she want that? :-) my kinda woman! not too far into it though but she knows who he is but looks like she's helping a company he's wanting to take over...hope not too much drama :-(

finished Romeo, Romeo and started the 2nd book - think it's Too Hot to Handle - library had the 3 on ebook as one checkout so trying to finish all 3 before they're due- think I have at least another week maybe 1 1/2 weeks...wish I'd hear back from brookly public library-  applied for out of state card and emailed when Id idnt hear back and they asked for more info but still hvent' heard from them. they have her other books! enjoyed Romeo, Romeo - didnt' like her sister much but she's the star of the next book and has the doctor I liked from the other book - wanted him to get a good one so she'd better end up being doctor-hero worthy!

also listening to one of Janet Evanovich's Plum books - think it's smokin' seventteen - the more I'm listening the more I realize i've either heard or read this one before - not loving it but it's filling in driving time. she's a real sl*t in this one and I'm not finding stuff as amusing with grandma mazur - she's 'doing' both morelli and ranger in this one and this other guy is in the picture which is why I think I've read this one...

Read Lori Armstrong's Merciless and I hope she continues the series because that was an awesome read. I just want Mercy to get the upper hand on Soto, man I hate that guy. And I really need to see John-John grovel to Mercy, he was so mean to her and after all the support she gave to him. I also finished Cheryl Holt's Nicholas and that is time I won't get back. Beautiful cover.
