Just finished Aidan and Ethan (Seeking Redemption, Bk 1) by Cameron Dane and it was good but there was just a bit too much angst, overall a good read.

In the middle of Shattered (High Risk, Bk 3) by JoAnn Ross and it's really good. I think I needed a change from wham bam thank you ma'am, (sir) books I've been reading lately.

I finished a short story called Dessert First by Emily Cale.  Didn't like the hero but it wasn't a bad read.

Still trying to finish Devil's Highlander by Veronica Wolff.   I'm not loving it.

On a side note:  if anyone sees these two ebooks for less than $7, can you PM me and let me know where?  I have a Nook so it needs to be in epub.

Cascade and Torrent   both by Lisa Bergren

I was reading in the tub last night and I remember sitting my book down and picking it back up to bring back in the livingroom, but now the book has disappeared. Reading Tara Jazen's Loose Ends and it has been pretty good so far...just hope I get to finish it. Where could it have gone?

Oh Keri, I just hate that...

Got some more books from NetGalley, but the first seems to be a trope I don't like, so I may not finish it. Doesn't seem fair to give an advance review to a book that I'm automatically not going to care for.

BTW, if anyone cares I'm twitting some of my GoodReads stuff now. willaful, of course. :-)

Keri - I've dropped a number of books into the tub through the years. At least you know it IS somewhere in the house.

Maybe inside an extra towel you had, or in your bedroom somewhere when you were changing your clothes. Do you remember getting sidetracked on the way to the LR? I hate when this happens - more often than I care to admit to. And it's usually in the very place I told myself "it wouldn't be there".

Hope you find it - love that series!

Gail

Willa great news! The book somehow ended up in my bed...I have no clue how it got there, as I never read in bed last night, but oh well. I finished the book and it was pretty good. I am taking a small break from romance and have picked up Dan Well's book, I Am Not a Serial Killer and it has been pretty creepy so far.

Sherri I'm looking for a good price on Cascade & Torrent also so if you hear anything please let me know. I got Waterfall as a free ebook for my teenage daughter and she loved it. She really wants C & T but isn't ready to pay the prices we've found so far.

This morning I finished Penelope and Prince Charming by Jennifer Ashley. I liked it enough to read the books that come after it but not nearly as much as I have enjoyed her books about the MacKenzies.

I read more of Guilty Pleasure by Lora Leigh - like it in spite of the heroine being too independent for me...would've finished but was too tired to stay awake after night shift.

haven't started anything portable yet - well Merline Lovelace's 3rd Samantha Spade mystery but it's not grabbing me yet - I like it but not in the mood ..maybe it'll grab me during break tonight....

Jennifer, I read Penelope and Prince Charming not long ago, too--I read the second book also, but haven't stumbled across book 3 in my TBR yet.  They weren't exactly what I was expecting; I think that threw me off a bit, and I actually liked the second book more than the first because I was more receptive?

I'm about halfway through The Iron Duke--I'm enjoying it quite a bit; it feels somewhat densely packed (?)--I find there's a lot of world building to absorb.  The characters are really interesting though, and I'm having fun reading!

Devil's Highlander by Veronica Wolff did not light my fire.  Only a 2 for me.   But I am looking forward to the next book which has a tortured hero.  Yum.

Jennifer - do you need Kindle or Nook format?  I'll keep my eyes open.

I'm reading Ghosts of Valentine's Past by Rie McGaha for a review site I was asked to join and I think I'm going to start on The Battle Sylph today too.

Fedora, did you read the prequel in the Burning Up anthology? There was quite a bit of world-building in that story, and it sucked me right in.

Over the weekend I finished Six by Opal Carew — I can see what all of the fuss is about, but the characters were too hollow for it to be a keeper for me.

I also read Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis...what a fantastic light read! Who can resist hot men and cute animals?

Next up is Simply Wicked by Kate Pearce.

I've recently finished Pleasure of a Dark Prince by Kresley Cole and Duty & Devotion by Tere Michaels. They were both OK, but I was hoping for better. I'm currently reading Dark Fire by Denise Agnew.

I'm reading too many books to list.  Have got to concentrate on one at a time.... right now am getting somewhat more into Through a Dark Mist by Canham, though it's still not a style that really grabs me.

Gina, I did, but it was a while ago, so I could probably use a re-read!

I got up way too early this morning, and my brain is mush!

Thanks Sherri! I have a NOOK color but I also have the Kindle  app on my laptop so it really doesn't matter.

Fedora I think it wasn't what I was expecting either. During the first few chapters I was thinking wow this is a really silly book, but it got better.

I'm not reading anything at the moment. Too much stuff to do and if I start a book nothing will get done.

Almost finished To The Edge by Cindy Gerard and really liking it. Also reading Devils on Horseback Nate by Beth Williamson and it is really good also. Didn't think that I was going to like it at first, it's the classic western tale about a evil guy (not the hero) trying to take the heroine's ranch away.

read a little bit more of Guilty Pleasure - skipped ot the end and it's another of those crazy shootout endings she likes to toss in..sigh...should've known to just read her stuff for the sex and not the story but was kinda liking the story..oh well may go ahead and finish it still since 'the third' hasnt gotten much action yet which seems kinda crappy since he's providing protection as well..sheesh! wonder if he gets a story - anyone know if Shayne gets a story? think that's his name..think Khalid's brother Abram gets the next story after this but she's probably 10 books down the road by now!

I have one of Shalvis' animal titles in the car  - librry book - mayb eI should go get it out to read!

Susanna - Shayne really was literally just a third in that book, huh?  You get no real story on his part except for when he's with Marty and Khalid.  He's pretty hunky, though, and I  wouldn't mind if he got his own story.

I finished Desire for Three by Leah Brooke.  Ugh.  What a disappointment.  I know not to get my hopes up too high when beginning a new series, especially an erotica series about menage relationships throughout a town.  I expected way more from this, though.  I think a 7th grader could have written with more depth, and the characters were all so shallow.

I need a good book, but not sure what I want to read.  Maybe I'll go peruse my bookshelves.

yeah Michelle- and so far he hasn't even gotten much as a third! not even a bj...and he's doing all the work in finding Khalid's brothers! that Khalid is muy possessive..I liked him in another book though - he seemed to be the nicer one but he's sure alpha in this one. hard to say since I don't usually read these cover to cover blushbut I loved Forbidden Pleasure and Mac showed up briefly in this one - at least I think it's the same guy. I didn't go in order - forbidden pleasure was my first and still my very fave lora leigh.

Started Dragon Bound and it has been really good. Urban Fantasy isn't one of my first loves, but this one has really caught me so far. I had to laugh when we were brought in on what was stolen...too funny!

I stayed up past midnight to finish The Battle Sylph by L.J. McDonald.  Wow!!  Incredible read.  Can't wait to read more in that series.

never heard of the Battle Sylph or L J McDonald!

finished Guilty Pleasure - still want Shayne to have a story but hey at least he finally got a piece of the action LOL though not as much as Khalid..I think Khalid's brother has the next story - not wild about him I want Shayne's! I wish she wouldnt' do such wild violent scenes..and this woman bordered on tstl but I guess she was wired that way being in the FBI and all - I'm a chicken sh*t and I'd been hiding but that's the way I'm wired!

not sure what I'll read next..still working on quilts and have I Spy rhymes in my head that are driving me nutso..
