I recently subscribed to Taste of Home and ToH Holiday. I see lots of other ToH pubs in the supermarkets. To be sure I don't buy one that I should receive in the mail, what does your most recent mailing look like? Also, I'm seeing some issues for Appetizers and Casseroles and etc. Are these special issues, excluded from any subscriptions that you must purchase seperately in the stores? I am quickly becoming addicted to Tast of Home and must have all of them! :) |

I don't subscribe to any of them but I sure have noticed the special issues that you mention. There seems to be quite a variety of them. They seem quite expensive to me compared to a regular subscription price. One of the reasons I don't buy the special issues is I think they are a rehash of recipes that they have already published in the regular line of magazines. I could be wrong but I just have the feeling that is what they are doing. I like to get the hardback book annuals from the various magazines. I find them at thrift stores or on Ebay. I suppose they might be on here sometimes also. I like the fact that the whole magazine is then in one issue and the recipes seem easier to keep track of. It seems easier to store one book than a bunch of separate magazines. I do have a local thrift store that has the magazines quite often and I buy some of the special issues there. I recently got an Italian theme one. |

Hi all.. I work in a grocery store, when it's slow, I read the Taste of Home magazines, and I thought about buying them, until I realized that every recipe I saw in the magazines were on the web site http://www.tasteofhome.com/. Cheers! Melissa

I get the ToH magazine and I LOVE it. I wait for it to come in the mail to see what good looking recipes are in there. Of course you could say I have a fetish with cookbooks. I love to read them like a reg. book. I never buy the special editions at the store, to pricey, but I do by the annuals. |

I subscribed to the original TASTE OF HOME magazine for years; then added Taste of Home's QUICK COOKING. I finally stopped taking them after my house was becoming overrun with all those magazines, not to mention all the THREADS, SEW NEWS, and SEW BEAUTIFUL magazines that continued to stack up. So I stopped subscribing to all of them. But not because I didn't enjoy the Taste of Home magazines. Now, however, my sister has sent me a gift subscription to Taste of Home's SIMPLE & DELICIOUS which must be a fairly new addition to the Taste of Home line of magazines. I've just finished scanning through it, and it seems very interesting. I saw a couple of recipes I'd like to try -- plus, I found the "hidden item" right away, a feature that they've had in all their magazines. I'm going to their web site to sign up for their slow cooker & casseroles newsletter. |

I used to subscribe, but let my subscription lapse a few years ago. I recently subscribed again, and got my first issue today..... what happened?! There are ads all over the place, and gone are the pics of the field editors with their aqua-netted hair - all the pictures are glam now! I don't like it anymore. |

I subscribe to all the Taste of Home magazines. I agree they have become more commercial and I don't like the layout as much. With that said the recipes are still great. You can find all their recipes on their websites too. I have all the magazines from the begining. Not sure what to do with them all now that I can pull them off line. I do like just grabbing them sometimes and reading through them while watching TV. Alice |
