I was reading a thread in book bazaar that listed books that are wish listed? I understand a wish list is, I have mine....but does this mean people are swapping books that are not on their shelf? And what does it matter or mean when they say this book must only be WL'd? I understand the multiples part, wanting to ship more so the costs are lower. But I don't understand the part about these books being WL and what that really means.
thanks! Mindy |

I believe it is explained in detail in the first post of that thread but I'll try to condense it. If I have 6 books that are on wish list that I am ready to post, I can list them on that thread. I can request that to get those WL books from me, you have to let me know you want 2 or more of those books. Once you've let me know what you want, I can post them directly to your wish list. That lets me mail to you, more than one book at a time, saving me postage. |

Yes, the books offered in that thread are not on the members' shelves. It is a thread that is used to offer Wish List books to find someone who is looking for more than one to save on shipping. It helps get Wish Listed books to members that might not otherwise be posted because the cost of sending them one at a time might be to much for the sender. That thread only allows lists of books that currently have a Wish List on them because it is a thread to save postage by sending multiple Wish Listed books, not to try to get someone to take books that are not Wish Listed in order to get a Wish Listed book or to try to circumvent the FIFO lines on the posted books. If you want a book from that thread, you need to add it to your Wish List in order for it to be posted to you or offer to send the credits via the Give Credits button. If you have specific questions about the thread, you can always PM Amanda (the one who runs the thread) and she will gladly help you out on listing or requesting. You can click on the PM button for her on the first post in that thread. |
