A member read my post about receiving an ARC book and she gifted me a credit. I can't tell you how this has touched me. She was not involved in the transaction at all....just read my post and did a good deed. I plan to "pay it forward" and pass my good luck along to another member as soon as I can. I'm not sure if the member who "gifted" me the credit would want her identity revealed, so I won't do that. I just wanted to share with everyone and let you all know that there are some truly wonderful people that are a part of this group! |

How sweet. I too have met some WONDERFUL people on here. I feel so blessed to have found PBS. I'll share some of my "angels" I've met along the way. A bunch of people have seen we are a homeschooling family and they'll sometime tuck in a few extra books in the trade. We do a lot of Box O Books so it is fun to get box and see a few extra "just because" books. I've come close to tears at times. I trade with one woman who was a former school teacher and a lot of books were some from her former class room library. I think we swapped 3-4 books and she told me she was adding a few more that she thought I our family would like. So sweet! For me personally I have a chronic illness and this past year has been rough on me. I rarely get out due to the pain and other things. So Paperback swap has been a wonderful outlet in meeting people, getting books to read and help me escape my pain and just feeling well cared for. ; )
