I just read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. I Loved it. I hadnt realized it was a young adult book until I picked it up at the library. Reminds me of the Maximum Ride stories with the children with special powers being hunted. The first half of the book is set up like a mystery/thriller, then when the truth is revealed it is like someone removed a big curtain revealing a whole new world. There are some twists and turns and the mystery remains on some level to the end. And in the end, there is a cliff hanger which leaves you dying to read the next instllment, which hopefully will come soon!!

ETA: I also loved the many references to the WWII, refugees, and bomb raids.

I finished Article 5 yesterday and wasn't a huge fan.  I did like parts of the story, but Ember annoyed me a lot.  Then I read You Are Not Here where I also did not like the MC much.

I'm starting Scorch Trials today.  I have high hopes for it because I really liked The Maze Runner.

finished Starters last night.  The ending made me really think that I know who the Old Man is...  Now I want to FIND OUT!!!  Started Pandemonium on my drive to work today...  Had to remember what had happened at the end of Delerium...

I like about 15 pages in Article 5, Jenna.... there are parts I have liked and parts that are just ridiculous to me....  but I've known since halfway in it is either being set up for a sequel or going to have a rushed ending....

McKenna - I am liking Scorch Trials so far.  It's different from Maze Runner, but it is interesting.

I finished Scorch Trials yesterday. I liked it, but there were several times when I was annoyed/frustrated with it. I'll still read The Death Cure to see how the series ends.

I started Eon last night with plans to just read a little, but it was really engaging and I couldn't put it down. I ended up finishing it today. I am sick of the word kowtow and I figured out the "twist" long before the main character did, but it was an enjoyable read.
