I'm still reading Over Sea, Under Stone.  I don't know why I didn't read this when I was younger, but I'm about halfway through and I'm loving it!

I just finished Get Well Soon by Julie Halpern.  It was an interesting book.  I liked how it told you about mental hospitals and what goes on in them.  The main character was very immature though.  She was 16, but just seemed very young.  But overall, I'm glad I read it.

I finished Give Up the Ghost. It was decent. I am reading If I Stay now.

Happy March, everyone! Last night I finished Light Beneath Ferns by Anne Spollen, a creepy, poetically written with snarky dialogue. (Sounds like a convoluted mix, doesn't it?) It was pretty darn good--the writing was so beautiful--but I'm a scaredy cat, so it ended up not exactly being my thing. Right now I'm reading a non-YA apocalyptic book called The Things That Keep Us Here by Carla Buckley. It started out a little slow, but now I'm finding it hard to put down!

I just finished Bloom - I loved it!  I definitely want to read more from Elizabeth Scott.  I'm starting The Debs by Susan McBride next.

It was definitely a waste of paper. LOL

Question to all- I know that it isn't considered YA, but I noticed Richelle Mead has a book called Succubus Nights and one called Succubus on Top, but both are said to be book 2 in the series. Is this a typo or did she change the name later on?

Is it possible that Succubus Nights is the title elsewhere in the world?

Actually, fantasticfiction says they're the same book. :)

This series is entertaining, but definitely not YA.

I'm wondering what's wrong with me? I'm having trouble staying riveted to Beautiful Creatures. I love what they're saying about libraries, but come on 'Marian' is just too much of a stereotype.

Is it just me? I'm too far in to stop now, but I keep putting it down...

You are never too far into a book to stop reading it! If it sucks, quit reading. Plenty more books where that came from. ;)

ETA- J, yes I did read your ravings about it, but sadly, I do not own that book and I am only allowing myself one new book purchase this month and The Dead Tossed Waves won that one. (Can't wait till next Tuesday!!!) I really want to read Dirty Little Secrets though!

I had to send my copy of DLS to Jennifer M. in my TBR Pile Swap....  otherwise, I'd help ya out....

I have Beautiful Creatures on my bookshelf now....  however, so many people have adored it that I am afraid I won't..... so it keeps sitting there.....

As for me, I am starting Little Miss Red today....  finished RAGE: A love story last night.....  it was quite chaotic.....

Is Dead Tossed Waves coming out already? I loved, loved the first one. Zombies are my favorites. I see March 10th. I'm on it.

I may have to halt Beautiful Creatures and buy that one. I still feel like I'm missing out on something if I can't get into it.

Shaun of the Dead is one of my favorite movies too! I usually hate horror, but there's something about Zombies :)

Sorry, Jacki - I know not everyone feels the same way. I did pick up The Cupcake Maker too. Some light with my dark!! LOL!

I'm doing a bit of retro-YA reading with Beyond the Chocolate War by Robert Cormier.

I have a bit of a funny story about this book.  I've owned it for a number of years, and a few years ago my sister was reading my copy.  "Did you read The Chocolate War?" I asked her.  "That explains so much" was her reply.  Despite all the quotes on the cover that implied it was a sequel...my sister had no idea.  So I got her the first book.  And then I chose to read the books in order. :)

Every class on YA lit makes students read The Chocolate War. I've read the classic too.
