I just received two books from a sender, the first book was a good copy and matched all information. The second book matched neither the ISBN nor the binding type. Per the instructions in the help documents I am NOT marking the book as received. The help doc =529 then tells me that I should PM the sender which I have done, and then directs me to the following help doc. http://www.paperbackswap.com/help/help_item.php?id=19 As this help document is mostly trying to find mistakes in sending (rather than mistakes in posting), I don't find that it covers this particular subject (there were two books sent the first was the correct book and I have already accepted it, the second under every concept I can find was incorrectly posted). Where do I go from here, am I simply supposed to let the transaction time out or what? |

Actually, if the second book is just a different verision of the book you ordered, but just doesn't match the binding type and/or the ISBN, then you should mark it "Received with a problem - Wrong Book" and do the same thing that you would do for any other RWAP. Send a message and ask for your credit back if you feel that you can't use the book you got. Not marking received at all is reserved for when you get a completely different book that in no way is what you ordered. Here is a better help document. Look to the instructions for 'Wrong Book" http://www.paperbackswap.com/help/help_item.php?id=529 Last Edited on: 2/14/11 2:25 PM ET - Total times edited: 2 |

I was going to send you to the same place Sara did. You do need to mark the book 'received with a problem" and follow those instructions. |

Thank you both, I had actually used the help doc you mentioned, but apparently I misread the bullet points. I had originally thought it would be a RWAP (but haven't personally dealt with that much so wanted to be by the book). Apparently I just needed someone to say "Are you sure you read that right". Thanks for the help, it makes more sense and I know where to go from here. |
