Hawaii by James Michner

Geez, I read this wrong.  That was the last book I posted.  The latest addition to my WL was Eve: A Novel of the First Woman.

Ask And It Is Given by Jerry and Esther Hicks.  I bought it, I read it, and I gave it away to someone who needed it way more than I did.  Now I'm going to wait patiently for a new copy to come through (although I'm about 350th in line).

Odd Girl Out by Timothy Zahn (not released yet).  Sequel to Night Train to Rigel which I really enjoyed.

I just added Nixonland: the Rise of a President and the Fracturing of America by Rick Perlstein. I heard him today on "Fresh Air" on NPR and it was so interesting!

I recently added Let It Blurt: The Life and Times of Lester Bangs by Jim DeRogatis.  I just finished a book of Bangs' writing.  I wasn't crazy about his writing, but I was interested in how he got to be who he was and form the opinions he formed.

The other thing I found interesting is that he made a comment that people liked his early writing best.  I really didn't like anything he wrote until The Clash came along, so I wondered if that was true.  I also know that a lot of people I like were influenced by him, and I couldn't see why from his work.  So he's a mystery, I guess, to me.

I added Murder With All the Trimmings by Elaine Viet from her Josie Marcus, Mystery Shopper series. It recently came out in paperback. Her Dead End Jobs series is good, too.

Doh! I heard that author on NPR, too, a couple weeks ago, and I was going to add that book to my WL. Off to do it now!

Some children's books, since I discovered them at work and want my own copies. The most recent addition to the list was Bear Snores On by Jane Chapman and Karma Wilson. I am crazy for the artwork and the lovely rhymes :)

I've added two books for my DS, though I'll read them as well. One is called "The Joy of Spooking" and the other is "The Magic Thief". They book look like books my son will enjoy.
