My 16 yo has to read: The Crucible, Snow falling on cedars, and The Color of Water

Ooh i remember having to read The Crucible in school. I really enjoyed that one. Kinda makes me wanna go back and read it again.

ETA: Sorry i dont have a teen, just wanted to comment on The Crucible. LOL

Jeanne - what grade is that for?  11th?

My rising 10th grader has to read:

1. Guns Germs and Steel The Fates of Human Societies, and
 
 
 
2. Worlds of History, Volume One: To 1550: A Comparative Reader.
 
I wish she had some classic lit to read, that she would enjoy.

I switched schools so many times I never had to do the "summer reading" bs.  haha!

Margaret, "Guns, Germs, and Steel..." is a great book.  Hopefully, your child will like it.
