Over the weekend while I was checking the forums but had my acct on vaction hold since we were up north for a funeral,  I noticed 2 or more thread titles in each forum now have black font instead of blue.  What's up with that?

All threads you have posted in are now black.  I love it!

I just noticed that today for the first and found the explanatiion under "What's New" -- I love it too!

I like it, too, because I sometimes don't remember in which forum I posted a (response) comment and the black highlight has already been a help.

I just noticed this today, it's is so helpful to find the forum that you are following!

It only goes back a week or so.   This idea was suggested at the cruise. 

I like being able to click on "my last post."  And Emily's right that it only goes back a week.  They had it going back farther at first, but people who post frequently in a forum were finding that they couldn't get into the forum.  The software was overwhelmed calculating all their most recent posts.

I THINK this is the first time I've ever overwhelmed any software!!!

The problem was happening to members who have several hundreds or thousands of posts in a particular topic (like CMT). The 'My Last Post' feature was running out of memory trying to keep track of them all. I changed it so that it now only looks back one week to populate the 'My Last Post' column.

So if a member posted in a particular thread more than one week ago, the 'My Last Post' column will be empty for them. They can change it by posting in that thread again. I think this is a fair trade-off since most threads don't stay current for more than a week (until October-November of an election year, that is.)

Wow, I had no idea that the suggestions given at the cruise would even be looked at so soon!  Way to go guys (and Cheryl) !

Jeanne , I was wondering that same thing yesterday when I asked a question in CMT. " Why is this in Black"?

This was my suggestion from the cruise!!!! I'm so happy they went with it. It was hard to tell that day what they were into and what they just had no time to do. YAY, PBS!

I've finally gotten used to seeing the posts turn black after I post and I like it.  Wonderful suggestion!
