I was wondering when this book would be listed on PBS since it's so new it's not in the system yet.

This is a newly published book and is supposed to be in stores end of August/beginning of September.

It's called  The Complete Human Body + DVD. It's ISBN # is 075666733X.

This would a great book for my pharmacy tech class I'm taking.

I would love to jump on the wish list ASAP or find it in the Marketplace.

If anybody has any details I would love to know...thanks!!!

One secret is to search for the book by ISBN.  Then go back about an hour later and search by ISBN again.  Searching for a book will often trigger the system to add it.  And Amazon puts in spaces or dashes.  The PBS system needs those to be removed.  Just the 10 or 13 digits.

And welcome to PBS.

It'll be awhile before it's in teh markeplace because they sell remainders.

Can that even be posted here because of the DVD?  If so I think it's something you'd probably wait a long time for as it's expensive and something likely to be kept.

Sometimes just someone doing a search for a book can prompt the system to look for it and add it to the PBS database.

It's only $30 at Amazon, so it isn't THAT expensive, I have received similar books here. But as it isn't even due to ship until tomorrow, it could be months (or longer) before it shows up on PBS.

This is a book with accompanying media. These items are allowed to be posted at PBS and they can be sent Media Mail. Since the item title mentions "DVD", it must be included whenever the book is swapped.

This item cannot be posted at SwapaDVD. That site is only for video DVDs. You can't post software, games, audiobooks, books with DVDs, etc, there.

I did try to add this book to the PBS database by searching on the ISBN for you, but it doesn't seem to have worked. I wonder if that feature might be broken, or if there is something wonky when the ISBN-10 includes an X. At any rate, it's not going to be something you'd get any time soon. Even if someone buys it on the first day it's published, they're not likely to be done with it for several months, and it's the kind of book that will likely only get posted once or twice a year.

It's there now, with no wishers.

Welcome to PBS Jessica!

In my experience, books appearing at Amazon can be pulled into the PBS database.  Publishers vary tho as to when they release new book information to retailers.  We're seeing some books available to wishlist right now with release dates in  April of 2011.  Other publishers do not release information until the actual book release date.

ETA - yes, this book can be posted here.  The book itself has 512 pages, in addition to the accompanying dvd.
